OFFICIAL MEMORANDUM

Subject: Delegation of Administrative and Financial Powers to the

Principal Secretary, Karnataka Legislature and other

Officers of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Secretariat.

In modification of OM No LAS/Adm-1/DP/98 dated 11th

September 1998 and KLAS 95 DFP 2002, dated 12.7.2002, the

Board has delegated the administrative and financial powers to the Principal Secretary and other officers at different levels in exercise

of the powers under Rule 5(2) of the KLAS (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules 2003 as specified in Annexures I,

Annexure II and Annexure III to this O.M. The overall limit of financial powers delegated to the Principal Secretary is Rs. 1 lakh

(Rupees one Lakh) at a time. They shall exercise these powers and dispose off the cases as per the allocation of work. Without

prejudice to the powers already exercised by the officers of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Secretariat as per O.Ms. dated 11th

September 1998 and 12-07-2002, this order is deemed to have come into force with effect from 9th

March 2006. The delegation of

powers shall be reviewed periodically.
