Once home to the Eagle's Nest bar, the unfinished space with "old New York" charm now blends with the clean lines of a modern exhibition. The 21st Street location among Chelsea's big-name galleries is ideal, although it will be ephemeral. An opening reception on Thursday, March 22 nd will be a two-part celebration: a new space and the arrival of exquisite works by French couple Anne and Vincent Corbiere. The Corbieres present an array of seating, lighting works and tables. Vincent creates the structure of the pieces from ebony, oak, bronze and steel and Anne creates hand-woven fabrics, blending wool, cotton, linen and metal in unique designs with impressive attention to detail. 21st twenty first gallery’s introduction of the Corbieres’ pieces during Armory week generated enthusiastic reactions.
