ABOUT THE STORY
• Pettson is an old farmer who lives in a red wooden farmhouse in the Swedish countryside. He lives with his cat, Findus. Findus is dressed in a green-striped costume and wears a cap. Pettson and Findus can talk to each other, and the cat can stand up on his legs like a human. Findus appears and behaves as if he is a small child.
ABOUT THE STORY
• Each of the books takes off from simple events, such as gardening, going fishing, preparing for Christmas.
THE MAIN ACTIVITIES
Pettson, the old farmer was living lonely in his farm. His neighbor realised that Pettson needed some company. She gave one of her kittens to Pettson. One day Findus disappeared. Pettson couldn’t find Findus alone. The Muckles, invisible creatures came to help finding Findus.

• Published in 2001 (but first book from series, Pancakes for Findus was published in 1985)
• The Pettson & Findus books have been translated into 44 languages
• Animated into several movies
