Scene 1, shot 1:The teaser will start off with a medium long shot of the actress getting into bed.

Page 2: Animatic

Scene 1, shot 2:This medium long shot shows the actress falling asleep.

Page 3: Animatic

Scene 1, shot 3:This long shot shows the actress tossing and turning about in bed as though she is having a nightmare.

This shot may work better if it’s a close up so that facial expression would be clearer to see. When filming, I could possibly film two takes, one as a close up and one as a long shot and see what looks better when editing.

Page 4: Animatic

Scene 2, shot 1:In this medium close up, the actress is seen waking up in a different bed in a completely different room. Instead of having the bed look nice, the actress will be seen just curled up on the bed without any duvets or pillows because

Scene 2, shot 2:This close up shows the actress jumping off the bed.

Page 6: Animatic

Scene 2, shot 3:This shot is a long shot of the actress running across the room towards the camera.

I think it would be better to change this shot so that we see her from the back running towards the door as it will help the audience to realise that she is running towards the door and not something else.

Page 7: Animatic

Scene 2, shot 4:This long shot shows the actress trying to frantically open the door.

Page 8: Animatic

Scene 2, shot 5:This close up of the actress’ hand on the door handle trying to open the door creates tension because in horror films, when a similar shot is shown, something bad happens or the actor/actress tends to get a shock before the climax of the film.

Page 9: Animatic

Scene 2, shot 6:This scene ends with a long shot of the actress standing in the doorway of the room she was in, and looking into the hallway which consists of lots of doors on either side.

Scene 3, shot 1:The first shot of this scene consists of a long shot of the mother in the bedroom from scene 1, just sitting on the bed maybe holding a jumper or a teddy of her daughters and crying, because her daughter has gone missing.

Page 11: Animatic

Scene 3, shot 2:This close up shows the father in the doorway telling the mother that the detective has come to speak to them.

Page 12: Animatic

Scene 3, shot 3:This long shot shows the parents and the detective sat around a table talking. To create suspense, the detectives face is not seen.

This shot will actually work better as an over the shoulder shot with the camera facing the parents but still be able to see the back of the detective.

Scene 4, shot 1:Scene 4 starts off with a close up of the actress getting dragged backwards, away from the camera.

Page 14: Animatic

Scene 4, shot 2:This close up shows the actress crouching in the corner of the room crying.

Page 15: Animatic

Scene 4, shot 3:This long shot shows things moving around the room by itself to kind of show the ghostly element.

I think I will take this shot out because it doesn’t really fit into the sequence.

Page 16: Animatic

Scene 5, shot 1:This tracking shot follows the actress running away.

Page 17: Animatic

Scene 5, shot 2:This shot shows the actress running but looking back over her shoulder directly at the camera.

Page 18: Animatic

Scene 5, shot 3:This over the shoulder shot shows the actress having reached the top of the stairs.

Page 19: Animatic

Scene 5, shot 4:A high angle/long shot shows the actress running down the stairs towards the camera.

Page 20: Animatic

Scene 5, shot 5:This shot follows from the previous shot with the actress still running down the stairs.

Because the next shot has been removed, this shot will then cut to the end of the teaser with the release date and title of film.

Page 21: Animatic

Scene 5, shot 6:This long shot shows the girl just disappear from the staircase while running. It will then cut to the end of the teaser with the release date and title of film.

I think this shot should be cut out because it wouldn’t really have an impact on the audience because it seems a little out of place.
