Cheetahs are really fast animals which live africa.

cheetahs are type of big cats they are the fastest type of big cats too and they can run so fast

because of their flexible backs which bend and their legs push them forward making them do

huge leaps and their body is also lightweight

Cheetahs grow up to 105 centimetre-152 centimetres they live up to 31-65 years old and they

have black tear marks around their eyes to protect their eyes from the sun cheetahs live in

places where there is prey so they can live in grass lands and mountainous terrains. Cheetahs

eat warthog antelope and birds. Cheetahs have predators such as lions hyenas and leopards.

there are about 10,000 -12,000 cheetahs left.

    tigers by Kate and Ella

tigers are mainly found in south asia

the normal tiger weighs up to 720 pounds or 363 kilograms they

are normally recognized by their reddy-orange coat with dark

    stripes.

they can even stretch them sevles up to 6 feet or 2 meters and

their tail can grow up to 3 feet or 1 meters.

they mainly hunt alone and they can bring down and kill prey

like deer and antelope by them selves.

    tigers love hunting at night.

if the pray that their hunting is bigger than them they will bite

its neck and if its smaller than it it will break its neck

one tiger can eat up to 60 pounds of meat in one night.

they dont eat all of the meat at once they eat about 12 pounds

per meal.the tiger might not eat all the meat in one day they eat until they

    are full.

  • 7/30/2019 Animal E Book

    15/59

when they are full they cover their catch with dirt leaves and

grassand comes back to it when its hungry until all the meat

    is gone.

unlike most big cats tigers like being in water.

they love having little swims to cool off.

all tigers are really endangered they are manly harmed by

humans because we're cutting down their habitat.

I chose to do tigers because I love all big cats and I have always

wondered how they live and how they are endangered.

    MEERKATS

Meerkats are animals that live in deserts and also in

grasslands of the Southern tip of Africa.

These extremely social animals live together in burrows.

These burrows can be 16 feet/5 meters.

They stand on their back legs so they can see further,

to get higher to look for predators and other meerkats.

Meerkats only go outside during the daytime.each

morning,as the sun comes up,the mob emerges and

    begins looking for food.

They average about 20 inches (50 centimeters) long

    including their, tail.

Several babysitters stay behind to watch newborn pups.

A sentry who senses danger will let out a high-pitched

squeal, sending the mob scrambling for

Meerkats dig safe places called bolt-holes throughout their

    area.

    Giraffes

I am going to tell you how old giraffes can live for, how tall they are when they are born and why

    giraffes are kept in zoos.

    .

They are 5 to 6 meters tall when they come out when born! That is really tall for a baby giraffe

    even taller than some men!!

Giraffes are kept in zoos because if they weren't they would be endangered. They could get

attacked by predators, people would start to shoot them them or they could get caught in bush

fires and die. They may not have enough food or water so then they would die.
