Course Objectives 1. To understand the basic works in molecular techniques.
2. To be able to perform certain basic techniques in molecular
works in a right way.
3. To be able to apply certain molecular techniques in a
proposed research project.
4. To be able to take a part in molecular laboratory jobs.
Course description Introduction; mind setting; mental setting; basic works in
molecular techniques; gene anatomy; gene expression and
regulation; gene manipulation; molecular cloning; Recombinant
DNA; molecular techniques including: special equipment/devises
sterilization, micro pipetting, microtransfer, micro centrifuging,
temperature handling, temperature-sensitive reagents handling,
harmful reagent handling, whole DNA isolation, enzymatic DNA
digest, electrophoresis, gene to vector insertion, bacterial
transformation, molecular identification, PCR, DNA sequencing,
RNA probe synthesis. Bioinformatics: Genetics analysis for
identification, Biosystematics, Phyllogenetics and Regulation.
