The table toppled over while BertBlack bustled past. He grabbed the parceland burst out his bedroom door. Hethundered down the stairs at such a speedthat he landed flat on his face at thebottom. He saw his reflection in the mirror.

His face was as red as molten lava and steamerupted out of his ears. His only hairs onthe top of his head stood on its ends and hisbushy eyebrows looked like sloping forests.

He bashed the mirror with his parcel. Hiswife appeared in the kitchen doorway. Dear,dear 7 years bad she said until Bertinterrupted her.

Bert slammed the door shut soroughly that the window beside it shattered.He stomped part way along his driveway thenhis Labrador jumped on him. GET OFFSILLY DOG! he shouted. The dog slunkaway whimpering. Bert bared his teeth. Hethumped to the end of his driveway and

ripped the gate off its post in anger.
