ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: A one-day symposium with updates and interactive question/answer sessions covering a diverse set of perioperative topics ultimately aimed at improving clinical knowledge and patient outcomes.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, participants will improve their competence and performance by being able to:

✔ Describe research-based evidence and rationale of current perioperative modalities

✔ Evaluate diagnostic techniques, monitoring methods, and therapeutic strategies for age-appropriate care

✔ Develop patient-specific treatment plans for high-risk populations

✔ Apply data for practice improvement and optimal patient outcomes in anesthesiology and critical care
