1) Anemometer Installation

Hardware Required

a. Anemometer Kit

b. Cord Grip (in Anemometer Kit Box)

c. J-Box

d. Wrench (not included)

e. Small Phillips (X) Screwdriver (not included)

f. Small Adjustable Wrench (not included)

2) Installation Steps

Figure 1Knock Out Plug

2.1)Remove from the j-box the knock oplug shown in Figure 1.

2.2)Cut the anemometer wire to requiredlength and strip wires as in Figure 2.

Remove the lock nut from the cord griwhich can be found in the anemometekit box. Leave on the sealing o-ringshown in Figure 2. Loosen the cord gand push it onto the anemometer poleas shown in Figure 2.

2.3)Insert the anemometer pole into the

j-box as shown in Figure 3. Make surewind vane is upwards. Thread thelocknut onto the cord grip from inside th

j-box.

2.4)From the anemometer hardware baginside the kit box, find the screw, flatwasher, external tooth lock washer andnut shown in Figure 4.

Clearance Hole2.5)Once inside the j-box, turn theanemometer pole so you can see thedrilled hole. Put the flat washer onto thescrew and thread it through the hole asshown in Figure 5.

2.6)Loosely thread on the external tooth lockwasher and nut as shown in Figure 5.

2.7)Rotate the pole and position the screwover the clearance hole in the backplate.

2.8)Using the wrench, hold the nut inplace as in Figure 6. Using a smallPhillips screwdriver, turn the screwclockwise until it is all the way down intothe clearance hole in the back plate andthe nut tightens up against the pole.

2.9)Tighten the locknut against the j-box to

secure the cord grip.

2.11)Connect the anemometer wires asshown in Figure 8. Bottom connectionsare for wiring to the turbine controller.
