To Whom It May Concern: Andrew is an outstanding leader at Montgomery County Community College. Over the past year, Andrew has been an actively engaged on campus as well as in the community. As President of our chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (Business Club), Andrew has helped the club organize events, recruit new members, and fundraise for club travel. He is one of the most motivated students I have had the pleasure of working with; he’s not only dedicated to his club and his studies, but Andrew finds time to volunteer in the community as well as work on his own start-up company. This year, rather than take spring break “off” Andrew volunteered his time to Alternative Spring Break; a week long experience where he worked with the Montgomery County Suicide Prevention Task Force working to bring awareness to this important topic and helpful resources to our students as well as the community. Throughout his time as President of Phi Beta Lambda, Andrew has worked tirelessly to make the club a success. They have done four fundraisers, hosted a Diversity in Business panel for the student body, and completed a variety of charity work to improve the club and the community. It’s through his vision & leadership both the club continues to grow. In addition to on-campus involvement, Andrew has also maintained a GPA above a 3.5 as a business major. I believe this speaks volumes to his work ethic as a student and dedicated student leader. Andrew Belton is an excellent candidate for this award as he works with compassion to assist those around him in our College community. He works diligently while maintaining excellent academic progress and developing his leadership skills. Andrew is an asset not only to Montgomery County Community College as a student, but to the community at large.
