    Lilli L’ArrongeThe Family Bunch

A very witty and relatable portrait of the daily life of a young family!

    mrmg

    mpf

    COOOLD!

    Good morning, Liddy dear!

    Go away!

    Good morning, sweeties!

Time to get up, it's late!

    Yeah, yeah, I've got

    something yummy for you

    Let's see those eyes now!

    no

    SQUEAK

    CHEW

    NIBBLE

    SQUEAK

    nuh-uh

    SQUEAK

    rustle

    Come now, we're running

    late again

After the success of Me Tall - you Small and Me You He She – We, Lilli L’Arronge has made a comic about a family, and its daily life. With all its tiresome, annoying, funny and lovely aspects of it.

    I'm first!

    MADE IT

It's not about who's first. Everyone that climbs the rock

    gets 10 points

But I wanted to be FIRST!

    Pudding-head !

    Liddy, are you hungry by

    any chance?

    I AM ANGRY!

    I'd like something

    to eat!Look, we can have

    our picnic right over there

    Already? We've barley walked

    50 yards

    There's no point. Liddy hardly

    ate any breakfast

Yeah, we both get 10 points Pudding-

    Hannah!I don't wanna play anymore!

    I'm - a -little -witch -and - I - fly - all day - long

    What's Liddy doing?

    Pretending she's a witch

    Weeee - flying is - so -

    much -fun

Hey, little witch, how about you fly a

    little faster?

Whoever is to climb THAT magic rock gets 10 points

Lilli L’Arronge’s humorous portrayal of the struggles of getting everyone ready and out the door in the morning, into bed in the evening, or motivated for outdoor activities is on point. This wonderful comic will not only make you laugh out loud, it also comes with the comforting side effect of reassuring you that you are not alone – other families are just the same.

Britta TeckentrupRaven and CrowsDid you know,• what the difference is between ravens and crows?• that in ancient Rome they were considered as prophets? • that ravens have special warning calls for a.o. cats, for hawks or

for humans?• that there are 250 different crow calls• that raven can recognize people and remember faces

Ravens have in common with humans that they pass on acquired knowledge to following generations, which means, that they have something like what we call culture. And so, it is no wonder why ravens play such a large roll in religion, poetry, literature and art.

In this unique book all this, and much more is told in words and pictures by Britta Teckentrup.

»I was missing a book about animals that combines fun facts and short pieces of knowledge easy to remember, with beautiful design, good subdivision and humour. Not an educational non-fiction book, but a real family book. It was also very important to me to have a really comprehensive animal book, including extinct animals as well as mythical or fantasy animals. For children, these animals all belong together, and we were always missing one of these categories in all the animal books that are there now!«Judith Drews

And we all have a lot in common: we can be mean (sometimes), we‘re curious, we can feel happy or furious, we want a home and to be healthy. Yes, amongst all our differences, we humans are actually very similar!

Kristina HeldmannNo ice, no polar bearQuestions about Climate

The climate is not only on everyone‘s lips, but also on television, in the newspaper and as protests on the streets. Posters showing sweating planets and polar bears, polluting cars and factories, plastic garbage and coal diggers. But what does that all have to do with climate? Climate, that sounds big and important, but also quite inaccessible, almost confusing.

In this book Kristina Heldmann starts at the beginning and explains with text and illustrations what climate is, what causes global warming, and what do we can do about it?

She explains more complex subjects like the different climate-zones and greenhouse gases and makes them accessible to children.

This inescapable book full of information, facts, and vibrant illustrations prepares us for the future!

The journalist and author writes for newspapers such as the Guardian, the Sunday Times, the Independent or the Financial Times. His books like Hanns and Rudolf or House by the lake have been translated into more than 16 languages, and have won several prices. Today he lives with his family in Hampshire / England.

The freelance graphic artist is an associate member of Club of Rome‘s Think Tank 30. He is also a lecturer at the Academy of Design in Regensburg. His most recent book was published in 2019 in Germany. He lives with his family in Regensburg.

It is the year 2020 and a researcher finds a stack of notebooks in a Berlin archive. He starts reading and is shocked to find that this is the history of the next thirty years. Could this really be the story of the future? In the front of the first notebook there is a message from the „interviewer“, a teenager named Billy, explaining that the pages contain transcripts of conversations with her grandmother Nancy, recorded in the year 2050. We hear about the great climate SHOCK which has terrible consequences for humanity. We learn about the era of failed populist rule, which is replaced by the unelected “Ethnarchs”. We read about the “Transition” that follows widespread automation and general unemployment. There are extraordinary new fashions, a new religion and a new kind of mass entertainment. As she reports these tumultuous changes, Billy also makes comments about her own life, revealing that she is in the middle of her very own real drama: she is in serious trouble with the security police. If she wants to change the past to save the future, she has to hurry…
