Project 1- Mood Board for “Pink Dots”

This collection was inspired by “The Total Look Exhibition” at MOCA, at

the Pacific Design Center.

Among all the great designs in the exhibition I was naturally attracted to

the 60s babydoll dress. I love the mixed patterns and contrasting colors.

When I saw this garment I instantly thought of super model Twiggy be-

cause what better person to model this dress other than Peggy. When I

researched Peggy Moffitt, pictures of Twiggy came across and from there I

knew I wanted to work with this garment. Peggy and Twiggy had a similar

style to each other; really short hair and those big eyes. On the other hand

I was a bit confused about the style era, because this can also be a 80s baby-

doll dress, which was my original thought. Either way this garment repre-

sents both eras and I could definitely see myself wearing this dress or per-

haps make something similar.
