Thank you for the investments you have made in the lives
of the students who attend Anderson University. Your gifts
are an encouragement and help to the faculty and staff who
work to prepare them for their life beyond this institution. Your
support helps to make Anderson University truly distinctive and
compelling.
Over this past year we have rebuilt our Advancement Team
with several new staff members, and we are working hard as
one unit to continue to garner support, share stories, and
provide engagement opportunities with the university. We
have sought to bring Anderson University to you through many
communication outlets and travel opportunities, and will continue to do so in the future.
As we conclude our Centennial celebration with Homecoming 2017 (Oct. 13-14), we
look forward to Anderson University’s second century of preparing students for a life of faith
and service in the church and society. We see many promising new opportunities in this
second century of service, and look forward to engaging you in those as much as possible.
We seek to equip the next generation of AU alumni with Anderson’s core values of
integrity, excellence, servant leadership, responsibility, and generosity. Your gifts enable us to
do that. Without your support, learners would not be able to experience the transformative
experience of Christian and academic discovery that the Anderson University experience provides.

“I HAVE BEEN GIVING TO ANDERSON UNIVERSITY FOR MANY YEARS. WHEN I WAS FIRST CALLED TO ANDERSON, GOD’S CALL TO URBAN MINISTRY CONTINUED TO BURN IN MY SOUL, SUPPORTED BY MY WIFE, GLORIA. NOW WAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PASS THIS PASSION ON TO STUDENTS. STUDENT GROUPS WERE FORMED TO SERVE PEOPLE’S NEEDS IN THE GREATER ANDERSON COMMUNITY. I CREATED A CLASS “COMMUNITY OF FAITH IN AN URBAN CULTURE,” WHERE THE CLASS SPENT TIME ON THE STREETS IN NEW YORK AND WASHINGTON WITH CHRISTIANS IN MINISTRIES. GLORIA AND I AND MEMBERS OF OUR FAMILY CREATED AN AU ENDOWMENT TO HELP SUPPLEMENT THE ADDITIONAL COST TO STUDENTS. WHEN I LEARNED THAT BERLIN, GERMANY HAD BEEN NAMED A GATEWAY CITY FOR CHURCH OF GOD MINISTRY, THE SOT CREATED A CLASS “MISSION AND THE URBAN CHURCH.” WITH SUPPORT FROM SOME FORMER STUDENTS WE CREATED AN ENDOWMENT TO SUPPLEMENT THE EXTRA COST FOR STUDENTS TAKING THE COURSE.”
