Gustavo Adolfo Domínguez Bastida, better known as Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, (Seville February 17, 1836 – Madrid December 22, 1870) was a Spanish post-romanticist writer of poetry and short stories, now considered one of the most important figures in Spanish literature.

He wrote about feelings and love. His best known works are the Rhymes and the

Legends. One of his Rhymes is:

¿Qué es poesía?, dices mientras clavas en mi pupila tu pupila azul. ¿Que es poesía?, Y tú me lo preguntas? Poesía... eres tú.

Juan Ramón Jiménez (Moguer, (Huelva) 24 December 1881–Santurce, Puerto Rico, 29 May 1958) was a Spanish poet. One of his most important contributions to modern poetry was the idea of “poesía pura.”

His most important work is a book called “Platero y yo”.

Federico García Lorca (June 5, 1898 in Fuente Vaqueros (Granada) – August 19, 1936) was a Spanish poet and dramatist, also remembered as a painter, pianist, and composer. An emblematic member of the Generation of '27, he was killed by Nationalist partisans at the age of 38 at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War.

He wrote important works like: “Book of Poems”, “A Poet in New York”, “Sonnets of Dark Love”…
