Mayor Elizabeth Kautz, NarratorDakota Valley Symphony Chorus
Join the Dakota Valley Symphony and Chorus and special guest narrator Mayor Elizabeth Kautz for a family friendly Christmas Celebration. Our own composer and principal trombonist, Randy Stokes, is preparing a delightful suite of pieces for the orchestra describing the scene at the Inn in Bethlehem. And our own Mayor Kautz will read us the story Twas the Night before Christmas, illustrated by the orchestra. We will also create our very own collection of pieces from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker and will wrap it all up with an audience sing-along of the Hallelujah Chorus. What a warm and inspiring concert to help us get into the spirit of the season!

Please join the Dakota Valley Symphony and Chorus, and Soloists, as we celebrate the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven with his magnum opus, the Ninth Symphony. Beloved all over the world, Beethoven’s Ninth has become a plea for us all to live as brothers and sisters. With sentiments decades ahead of their time, Beethoven sets a poem by Schiller with a hopeful vision for the future of the world. As befits a birthday celebration there will be a festival of activities in the lobby including a silent auction and a drawing for TWO walls of wine to make the day bright.
