• 2 Fronts of experimental axion searches:
– Solar axion ma ∼ O(eV)Sumico, CAST, crystals
– Dark matter axion ma ∼ O(µeV)ADMX, CARRACK
• Sumico Phase III
– Sumico 2007–2008 result:
gaγ < 5.6–13.4× 10−10GeV−1 (0.84 < ma < 1.00 eV)
– Upgrading toward ma . 2 eV
