Location The historic fishing float is located below Dresbach Lock and Dam #7 near La Crosse, WI and the location is the best dam fishing spot on the Mississippi. Whether you are pursuing a single specie like walleye or catfish or just like catching whatever is biting, the Best Dam Fishing Float produces the most consistent fishing action. We would like to welcome all of you to come and experience with us this incredible fishery.

Come out and spend a day with us and see the new facility. The new float has over 400 feet of fishable rail and is handicapped and children friendly. Our bait and tackle shop can provide you with quality rental fishing equipment and all the specialty tackle and bait needed for a great day of fishing. We also have coffee, soft drinks, water, ice cream , many snacks and custom made pizzas from Heggies Pizza.

Completely Rebuilt in 2010
In the winter of 2010, brothers Tom and John Rieple purchased the historic fishing float . We both realized that to bring a quality experience to our customers the float would have to be rebuilt. The construction consisted of building 220 feet of dock that is 16 feet wide and a 16x30 building. The dock is entirely enclosed with a 41” railing and has 24 sections of 32” railing to provide handicapped and children friendly access.
