ACCREDITATION AUDIT Allcare Nursing & Community Services from the 2nd to 4th October 2013

undertook our accreditation audits for the following;

Re-Certification for ISO 9001:2008

ISO 9001:2008 is a set of standards is related to quality management sys-

tems designed to ensure companies meet the needs of customers and other

stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements. ISO

9001:2008 deals with fundamentals of quality management systems, in-

cluding the eight management principles.

Third party certification bodies provide independent confirmation that

companies meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. Although this process

is voluntary there are over a million companies worldwide who are inde-

pendently certified, making ISO 9001 one of the most widely used manage-

ment tools in the world today and has become part of the companies crite-

rion when tendering for government contract.

This year, Allcare Nursing & Community Services had to undertake the

entire re certification process which occurs every 3 years, having all as-

pects of the company and service externally certified. We are happy to an-

nounce that we have once again passed certification.

ACIMSS Attendant Care Industry Management System Standards

The Attendant Care Industry Management System Standard (ACIMSS) is a

national quality management systems standard that has been specifically

designed by the attendant care sector, for the attendant care sector.

Achieving ACIA endorsed certification to the ACIMSS is a rigorous under-

taking that requires service providers to achieve demonstrable quality out-

comes for service users.

The ACIMSS focuses on the key issues required to deliver high quality in-

dividualised attendant care in the community. It is applicable to any indi-

vidual requiring low, moderate or high levels of support to live in their

community and is not limited in scope to any one particular government

department or funder.

Allcare Nursing & Community Services has passed the performance moni-

toring audit and is currently preparing for the re-certification in June 2014

RELAY FOR LIFE

This year Allcare Nurs-ing & Community Ser-vices once again partici-pated in the Relay for

Life held at Mingara on the 12th & 13th October 2013, with our team the Allcare Angels.

The Allcare Angels raised $2773.90 from sponsorship and donations for the Cancer Council to assist in the fight against cancer, celebrating the life of love ones lost and those fighting this terrible disease.

With only 7 staff members participating in this years event, 10 family members and friends of staff where recruited to help Allcare participate in the relay, undertaking the mas-sive effort of having a member of the team walking at all times for the 18 hour overnight event.

Special Mention

We would like to make a special mention for Natalie Williams, our Domestic Assistant and Trainee

Certificate III Workers who put in so much time and effort to fund-raise $563 for the event.

We look forward to increasing the amount raised in next years event and look forward to additional team members joining us to… Cele-brate… Remember… & Fight back against cancer!!
