Roman food

• Poor people ate lots of bread• Wealthy people ate lots of meat and spices

Colosseum• 55,000 people can watch the gladiators fight• Sometimes the gladiators fight naval battles• Back then they didn’t have TV so the

colosseum was very important to them

Roads

• Romans build roads to move around the empire quickly

• The Romans trade for goods on roads • They use milestone to build roads

Aqueduct

• Aqueducts provide fresh water for the roman cities

• Aqueducts also get rids of waste• Aqueducts are carried by gravity

Roman Baths

• Men and women bathed separately • There were different bath tempetures • Some people didn't like the public baths

because some people lived near it and it was loud

• Everybody could use the public baths

Roman army

• The army was divided into legions• Every army was proud of their legions

Town houses

• Town houses are made of brick or wood• Poor people lived in apartments and wealthy

people lived in their own house
