traveler who has made the brave journey to Ancient Egypt. It is here

that you will discover how Egyptians lived. You will find many interesting

facts about Egyptians, as you navigate through this ancient land!

Task

As the time traveler, you will go back in time using resources on the internet. You will have a traveling companion to help

you navigate through Ancient Egypt. On this journey you and your traveling companion will:

• Explore the government, history, environment, clothing, food, economy, literature, and architecture

• Record your findings using your Ancient Egypt Scavenger Hunt I and II Worksheets

• Zoom back to present day to compare and contrast Ancient Egyptian ways of life to our way of life today

• Create a comparison report to share with the class

The ProcessStep 1: •Each traveler will need to print a copy of the Ancient Egypt Scavenger Hunt I and Scavenger Hunt II

Step 2: • Navigate through The Ancient Egypt For Kids site and research Ancient Egypt by clicking on the appropriate headings that link you to your information. •Once you find the information, write it on your scavenger hunt worksheets•Click on Resources to find more information

Step 3: •Once the scavenger hunt sheets are completed, you and your traveling companion should review the results and discuss the similarities and difference between present day and Ancient Egypt•Complete the Venn Diagram Comparison Sheet together•Time travelers should then use the information they’ve gathered to complete the Comparison Report

Conclusion

This WebQuest on Ancient Egypt is an important project that teaches you, the

student, how to research information on the internet. In this WebQuest, you have

learned about the Ancient Egypt Culture using your scavenger hunt worksheet,

compared and contrasted Ancient Egyptians’ ways of life to present day, and

wrote a report about your findings. Congratulations! You now have a greater
