  • Lynette Richardson Lynette has enjoyed a varied 35-year career as a Music Teacher, havingtaught class music and conducted Choirs across both Primary and Secondary levels, as well asdabbling in Piano, Voice, Musicianship, Theory and Instrumental Ensembles Tuition. She classesherself as a Choral Specialist and has devised a program of warm-ups for choirs of all ages andlevels entitled “Choralastics™”. Lynette worked with The Australian Girls Choir from its inceptionin 1984 until 2007, tutoring each of the 7 levels and carrying out the role of National MusicDirector to the 4 states for differing periods of time. In 2009 Lynette became the Director of Musicfor Choir Victoria, a choir that evolved from the Victorian Boys’ Choir. Lynette has also enjoyed performing as a lead Alto with three well-known Melbourne Choirs – theTudor Choristers, Ensemble Gombert and the MSO Chorus; she has played and performed pianoduets; accompanied a range of instrumentalists and been repetiteur for Musical TheatreCompanies throughout her music career. Lynette is currently teaching Junior School music atWesley College, Glen Waverley, looking after Years ECLC to 4, one Year 7 Ensemble class and2 choirs – Piccolo (Yrs 3/4) and Dolce (Yrs 5/6) Canto. This position allows her to implement andexplore the Orff-Schulwerk principles of teaching music, which are dear to her heart. Above all,Lynette delights in enriching children’s lives with the wonderful world of music. Jared Furtado Jared hails from Perth, where he studied at the Kodaly specialist school, PerthModern School, before graduating from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2003.He has taught in co-educational and all-girls contexts, and is currently Director of Music and Headof Choral at Brighton Grammar School, an independent boys school in Melbourne. Prior to histime at Brighton, Jared was an artistic staff member at Gondwana Choirs, working closely withSydney Childrens’ Choir training choirs and the Gondwana National Indigenous Children’s Choir.Other choral highlights include directing the thousand-voice choir as part of the NSW CatholicPerforming Arts Festival and being awarded the Jack Wehsack scholarship to attend workshopswith the Director of Choral Studies at Boston Conservatory. Jared loves working with choirs of allschool ages, and has a special interest in treble voice and middle years repertoire.
