xAPI Overview
• The Experience API (xAPI) is a web service that allows for statements of experience to be delivered to a Learning Record Store.
• The specification defines how to consistently and with detail to define activity as learning experiences
• Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) is the steward of this specification, and it is an open standard

LRS Explained
• Learning Record Store stores statements from a range of sources, known as Activity Providers
• LRS is used to receive, store and return data
• LMS can play the role of an Activity Provider
