PhD-study basic information

create a computational model to estimate economical and technical profitability to build a combined heat and power plant based on renewable fuels in Nordic/Baltic Sea Region countries taking into account the local conditions.

• estimate an expediency to use one or the other CHP technology based on renewable/local biofuels,• take into account local conditions, to provide enhanced selection of CHP technology, biofuel and carry out economical calculations, • make a decision to invest into new CHP units and to convert small heating units to CHP production.

Planed computational model helps to:

The goal of PhD thesis:

• heat and power engineers,• enterprises with high heat/steam demand,• businessman,• local government.

Planed computational model is targeted to:

PhD-study basic information

• help to expand the market for district heating based on energy production by Combined Heat and Power (CHP),• help to increase the use of renewable energy to reduce the import dependency of fossil fuels, • help to reduce CO2-emission to the atmosphere.

The research works possible influence to the primary energy efficiency enhancing
