MastheadThe masthead is positioned at the top of the magazine and it usually one of the elements in a film magazine. It appearance is very large in order for the it’s audience to recognised the magazine. As well the word ‘Film’ is huge suggesting that this genre of magazine is film. As well it’s a worldwide magazine known by virtually everyone so its perfectly fine for the actor to be overlapping the title.

BarcodeThe Barcode is positioned in the usual place of at the bottom of either the left or right hand corner. It has no relevance to the film, but it’s a main convention for any type of magazine.

Main imageThe main image is positioned centrally and entices the audience’s eye. The model or actor is positioned in a way that is connoting power and in control, which for the reader initiate intimidation. The shot of the model is a mid-shot as the model’s doesn’t have his entire body in the frame. Assumingly he is the main protagonist and his stance that he is in empathises the personality of his portraying character.

PriceThe price is positioned under the Masthead on the left hand side. Its virtually small. But is it stated. The positioned of the Price could suggest that it’s expensive that usual or just reasonably expensive.

Direct AddressThe Direct Address is positioned directly at the audience eyeline. By doing this is gives a sense of power but also intimacy. The image has different affects on people but in a way seduces the reader in order to see the film being advertised.

SloganThe Slogan is positioned at the top along linking with the Skyline. This is because the Skyline is the Slogan. Within the Skyline we can see what’s included in the magazine. This enticement draws the audience’s eyes.Skyline The Skyline is positioned at the top of the magazine and it calls out the reader and adds the attraction because its indicating to the reader what is included.

Anchorage TextThe Anchorage Text is positioned at the side either left or right that runs along with the Main Image. As we can acknowledge that the name of the film and the character’s name both run along with the image, but doesn’t give a lot of information away.

Colour SchemeThe Colour Scheme is portrayed as plain and simple. The intention is to initiate an relation to the film being advertised which commonly brings out the main image more.

LayoutThe Layout is positioned formally and presented just like any magazine. The lining of each feature is straight and clear. It shows a high level of organisation due to where all the conventions and features have been place. By doing this, it gives the reader a sense of presentation of seriousness and importance within the film and maybe about the film as well. Due to the way everything has been positioned in order to create a certain image to its reader.

Sell-LinesThe Sell Lines are positioned at the bottom of the magazine. Sell Lines attract the target audience. They go along with the lines of the page and gives away info0rmation with the magazine. This helps to attract readers.

As well providing the eye catching of the reader or audience eye is due to the dull colours being used; the font colours within the rest of the magazine stand out above all the tiny and not necessarily aspects.

PriceThe price is positioned strategically at the top, inside the dip of the ‘M’. So it not too obvious. This is down to the fact that the magazine is priced at £3.90, which is quite expensive and therefore is not a selling point for the magazine.

Direct AddressThe Direct Address is positioned directly at the audience’s eyeline. Using this blinding technique enhances that the individual is more likely to purchase it because they feel as if they are being stared or watched by the image.

It boosts the magazine’s confidence, which causes the reader or audience to purchase it because this magazine is one of a kind. SkylineThe Slogan is positioned at the bottom of the magazine, it gives extra information on what’s inside and this entices the audience or reader in further.

Anchorage TextThe Anchorage text is positioned at the side of the magazine just below the main image’s neck-line.The magazine have gone for a pun ‘BLOODY HELL’ as it co-ordinates with the main image which shows Harry Potter with blood of his face.

Colour SchemeThe Colour Scheme is portrayed as dark and dull, using the colours of red, white, yellow and black. These colours ultimately give off the sense that darkness maybe approaching.

LayoutThe Layout of the magazine is positioned formally and structured well. Due the magazine being rather expensive than maybe usual. The structure and presentation of the magazine is key. The appearance must at least match-up to the price in order for the reader or audience to purchase. The reader or audience should feel like that are getting their money’s worth.

Sell-LinesThe Sell-Lines are positioned at the side of the magazine and they are to entice the reader or audience as it informs them what else is featured within the magazine. ‘MASSIVE PREVIEW SPECIAL’ could massively increase the appeal to their readers as well.
