Since Taylor Swift is a very famous and talented musician, there are many people who like her music or are fans of her. By using her image as the front cover, many of her fans will be willing to buy this month’s issue of the magazine (just because she is on it). Her image ensures, to the magazine, that consumer will buy their magazine.

The colour used for the background is a greyish-white colour: which contrast with the image of Taylor Swift, but in quite a subtle way. This gives the cover a more classic and chic look, making it look more professional.

The lack of writing connotes that the magazine is already quite established in its market. Furthermore thanks to the popularity of the magazine, it doesn’t need to use too many buzz words, or puffs, to attract the audience.

The colour orange it usually considered gender neutral, this implies that the audience of the magazine are both girls and boys.

The main colours used are orange, white and black. The orange is used to highlight buzzwords like: “Shock”.
