Analysis of Costume, Setting and Location

Jason Derulo – "Talk Dirty" feat. 2 Chainz(R&B)

The costume of Jason Derulo changes about 6 times and it varies within location. For example, Jason only wears the outfit with the yellow trousers in that specific room and when Jason dances, he

always wears the same camo onesie.His costume in this music video is normal for R&B as Jason is showing off his gold chains and expensive clothes like many

other R&B artists do in their music videos.

props, they are repeated in some scenes for example the trumpet which

is only used when you hear the trumpet sound on the music video. However lost of the other props are used when they

are mention in the lyrics of the song such as the passport with the kiss mark

on it as well as the globe. Also the music video uses product placement as you can clearly see the company logo of

the headphones and the name of the drink which the woman drinks.

Demi Lovato – Heart Attack(Pop)

In this music video, the costume changes 4 times, each having their own location. One costume is all white which is in a white room with paint dripping down on the wall whilst

also having paint as the prop. Another is where she wears all black with black and white stripes in her background.

The paint is used in all three aspects, costume, props and location. The paint is used on the body and hands as well as

face. Also there is another scene with Demi wearing all black white uses a mic in what looks like an huge office hall with a band playing behind her. So there is approximately, 4

locations if you separate the strictly white room, striped background and the one with the paint dripping.
