of the mainstream. Sitting in a booth, in the middle of an underground nightclub, surrounded by people dancing to the

electro pop, which has ravished the continent for the past decade. I wait anxiously for the arrival of what appears to

be considered as ‘Spanish Royalty, the legend across the Hispanic world known as San Maria. After waiting for over

an hour with her agent trying to contact her continuously, I am at the end of my tether with my phone ringing in my

ear asking why the interview hasn’t already started. When out of the blue the music stops, a spotlight appears and

people appear to move like departing waves from the shore.

This is the woman, the icon, the diva that commands respect and power from her music: San Maria. She
