FRONT COVER

Main Image• This is right in the middle and it is an

image of a artist who is famous in the rock genre.

Flash• This is usually in the shape of a circle

and may sometimes have the price of the magazine if its on offer or it can be about something that you wouldn’t find anywhere else for example an interview with some one famous.

Masthead• The name of the magazine is in black

and it is bold so it stands out clearly and you that people who are interested in that type of music genre will buy it.in this case the music genre is rock. Main cover line

• This is in the middle of the magazine and it is the name of a artist in the rock genre so people who listen to rock music see the name and want to know more about them and buy the magazine to find out about the artist.

Pull Quote• Pull quotes are used to pull/catch the eye

of the target audience because publishers know what sort of information to use to attract people in order the make their magazine a success.

Date/Barcode/Price• This is placed at the bottom as it is nothing to with

the music genre so it placed at the bottom so its doesn’t ruin the rest of the magazine and doesn’t draw much attention.

Footer• The footer also tell you what sort of information you

will find inside the magazine in this case it doesn’t have one.

Header• Tells you who the articles inside the

magazine are about and shows they provide information with bands that fit into that genre.

Left Third• This usually has quotes or little parts

of the article which people would want to read and find interesting. It could be about a artist or anything else to do with that genre.

Masthead/Contents• This tells you the different topic

inside the magazine and give s outlines on the main articles. Also the subheadings are there to tell you about who the article is about.

Band Index• This tells you about what you have

on each page and what artist the information is on, it is in a line on the right hand side as people will read t first and it gives you a bit more details on what is inside.

Main Image• This is placed in the middle this

sort of article is new/ different compared to what is normally inside the magazines.

Copy/Editorial• This gives you little pieces of

information about some of the articles and has the page number in brackets.

Subscription Box• This gives you

information about the different issues that there are of the magazine and how you can subscribe to them.

Main Image• The main image like most

magazines if of a artist that is of that music genre and takes you a whole page.

Secondary image• The image like other music

magazines takes up a whole side of the magazine and goes on to the other side but also had the main article on there.

Drop cap• The drop cap in his

article is 4 lines deep and starts with an M. it is also in bright red so it attracts the eye of the audience and sets its apart as it isn't in plain white.

Title• The title of the magazine

takes up most of the page and it really catchy for people because is short and simple yet affective.

• The target audience is males and females aged from 30-50 year olds who are into rock music.

• It is also for those who like to listen to different genres of music and may be interested in this profession.

How does Rock attract it’s audience?

• It attracts its audience by providing them with the information and magazine articles that they would be interested in which are to-do with the type of music magazine they are.

• They may also do interviews with some of the bands that are in that genre for their fans and may also have details about concerts, tickets etc., so it gives the audience what all that they could know about the composers and their latest music tracks which are trending.

ELEMENTS THAT CONNECT THE 3 DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE MAGAZINE.

• One element that connects the different part of the magazine is the colour scheme that is used throughout, this is because it makes it look more professional and also the colour scheme gives some idea of what genre it is for example black and white may suggest it is a rock type of magazine.

• The layout connects it because for example the page numbers will be in the same place on all the pages and also they would use similar font types for the text. This brings the magazine together as it all fits in the conventions that you would expect from that particular type of genre.

• The images also link the magazine together as they will be of artists which are all of the same genre so it fits together and they will have similar information on the artists for example interviews.
