Contents Page 1

The layout of this contents page is very different to general content pages, in this magazine this contents page is on two separate pages. The first page uses the artist from the front cover, ‘Usher’ but carries on after a page to another artist ‘Soulja boy’.

This contents page uses features with the article names and page numbers next to them, it also has credits near the bottom of the page and at the top left of the page it uses a magazine logo which identifies the magazine but as in the form of barcode with the magazine website embedded.

Layout : Second PageThe second page has the same layout as the page before but has different content, this page has an image of ‘Soulja Boy’ and the content talks about the other different articles and the page numbers.

This page also uses the credits near the bottom of the page and at the top left of the page it uses the magazine logo which identifies the magazine but is in the form of a barcode with the magazines website embedded into it. The logo barcode is always on each page to show the audience the logo and website of the company.

The front cover image is similar to the contents page image as the model is wearing glasses and is wearing clothing which the theme is army/aeroplane wear to show the masculine side to the artist, strength and power. This is a coloured portrait image, with no use of background scene which contrasts to the front cover image.

By the artist wearing glasses shows a mystery behind him and a sense of anonymity and obscurity; he has his hands in his pockets which it could show a sense of shyness and timidly.

Imagery: Image 2This image is of another artist ‘Soulja Boy’ who is featured in the magazine, he had his own interview and Photo shoot article in the middle of the magazine. He is known for being an American rapper and his most well known song “Crank that”; the 20 year old has a status for wearing Urban/R n B fashion which is wearing brands such as Nike, New Era Caps, Ed hardy etc. but wearing a lot of jewellery to show his uniqueness and standing out. As you can see from the image (to the left) he is wearing a black leather jacket which doesn’t show him wearing another colours but his jewellery stands out from the rest and doesn’t clash with the colours of his clothing. He is known for wearing ‘bling’ necklaces, bracelets and earring; this shows his wealth, his possessions and how much money he has.
