Why Choose a Prosthodontist? GO TO A PRO

Benefi ts to You!

A PROsthodontist is a dentist who has received two to three years of further training after dental school at an American Dental Association (ADA)-accredited institution. The program focuses on treating damaged and missing teeth and correcting less than ideal smiles using several treatment methods.

Often other dental specialists may participate in your treatment to help establish a solid foundation for your restorations. Every prosthodontist develops a treatment plan customized for each individual patient, and he will determine if adjunctive procedures by another doctor are necessary.

PROsthodontists are the experts in dental rehabilitation and have mastered many procedures including: crowns, caps, bridges, veneers, removable partial dentures, dentures and dental implants.

As a result of their training, PROsthodontists are masters in complete mouth rehabilitation and act as the architect, and “quarterback”, of any extensive treatment that may involve other dental specialists.

Having the expert eye of a specialist diagnosing the condition of your mouth will ensure that no necessary treatment will go unhandled and that the restoration of your mouth will be achieved to the highest possible standard of care, leading to a more natural and longer-lasting result.

One of the major objectives of a PROsthodontist is to restore full balance and health to a mouth, and their extensive training experience will help you achieve more aesthetic results and better oral health.

In addition to restoring dental implants with restorations, many prosthodontists are trained to surgically place implants as well.

In layman’s terms, a PROsthodontist is a dentist who has completed three or more years of additional education after dental school to become an expert in the restoration and replacement of teeth.t

Fact:

Less than 2% of all Dentists are PROsthodontists.

HOW TO GET YOUR TEETH IN ONE DAY

The cosmetic question has never been better answered than it is today by using implants. The function of stability and retention is assured by replacement of problem teeth or dentures using dental implants.

With the materials and techniques I’ve developed that are available today we are able to create a natural appearance.

• Lost lip and cheek support from the shrinkage of gums are managed well using implant techniques. • Dental implants increase your ability to taste and savor food because of the fact that there is less plastic covering sensitive taste buds hidden for years behind bulky appliances/dentures that ruin the taste of your food. • Many times when there has been a great deal of bone loss, lip and cheek support can be built right into the tooth portion of reconstruction restoring lost support for the face and reducing the appearance of age. • When the distance between the upper and lower teeth is stable with dental implants, it’s akin to having a free face lift from the nose to the chin.

Good-looking people enjoy a tremendous social advantage:

• They are viewed as more intelligent. • They are better liked. • They are seen as having more desirable personalities. • Attractive people are more persuasive and more likely to be given helpby others.

Most people find the increased confidence provided by secure implant supported teeth, as well as improved appearance and vastly improved chewing function more than offset the relatively minor discomfort and inconvenience associated with the implant procedures--including the cost. Next time, we’ll go more into the investment required……

Admittedly, dental implants can be a significant investment. Before committing to any investment, you should always consider its amount, under what terms it could be paid, the quality of what you get in exchange and what your alternatives are.

The initial investment of a dental implant is higher than other methods. For replacement of battered and broken down natural teeth dental implants can run from $3700 for a single tooth to $22 thousand per arch or more.

Usually not every tooth requires replacement with a dental implant.

Typically for denture sufferers, a dental implant resolution to this problem can range from even as low as $9-10 thousand.

Fees for this very unique service vary significantly from individual to individual.

Why?

Because everyone is different.

Just as each person has a different fingerprint, you too have a different need than everyone else.

This makes it literally impossible to quote a fee without a full examination. Doing so over the phone would be discourteous, inaccurate, and quite honestly bordering on malpractice as no doctor or dental office team member has x-ray vision to see through the phone.

In fact, even after the one-on-one thorough examination in the office, I’m going to need to mull over your situation for up to two weeks to come up with the best options that take into account all of the things I see and the things you’ve told me.

Many times I’ll even be thinking about your situation when I’m supposed to be relaxing away from the office!

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all service. The needs, wants and desires are just too variable. If someone claims they have a one-size solution, run away as fast as you can.

Knowing that it can be a significant investment, why do so many people find it worth the extra cost?

Aside from its long lasting and hygienic effects, an implant can be undistinguishable from your natural, perfect tooth.

An implant can last the rest of your life. Given the proper care and maintenance, implants can be a “one time investment”.

The materials, titanium and porcelain, are strong and durable- they can almost endure forever. Implants are set into the jawbone or over it so that your living bone and tissue grow into and around it, forming an unbreakable anchor.

Looking Good! Implants Make Good Economic Sense

Scientific research has proven what many people already know; the better you look, the better others treat you. It’s not even a conscious choice by those around you; it’s just the way human nature works.

The point here is that the advantage of attractiveness is very greatly underestimated. Yet, the size and reach of attractiveness in life is huge.

Why? Because people who are considered attractive are believed to be smarter, more talented, kinder and more honest.

This is true throughout our entire society. In other words, your smile and teeth determine a great deal of how much other people want to be around you.

With a great smile you become more promote-able...more attractive to the sexes……more likely to be viewed as someone that others want to be friends with …more trustworthy.

HOW TO GET YOUR TEETH IN ONE DAY

Everything is Custom for You

Because of this fact, the only way to fi nd out what the fees are for your situation is to schedule a consultation.

For those that want to see the offi ce and meet me personally, there are complimentary visits available where a range of fees can be discussed for your dental rejuvenation.

So, how do you fi nd out what fees are involved? A private, complimentary consultation can help determine the range of fees for your rejuvenation. Be forewarned, the ‘talking visits’ to meet me and my team are often booked out months in advance.

Beyond the complimentary, a Complete Dental Physical is an absolute must to develop your solutions. This goes back to the fact that you’re situation, while possibly similar, will not be exactly the same as another patient which requires more in-depth discussions and review of what I see.

Additionally, the fees will include all the possible minor changes that can occur when complex dental treatment is being done for you.

If you’ve ever been involved with any type of ‘restoration project,’

you will very likely have experienced hidden, unexpected surprises along the way to your successful completion of the project. While I have seen almost every kind of ‘surprise’ related to complex dental problems, I can never predict which ones will occur for any one patient. Knowing this is the case, I spend extra time thinking about all the things it will take to get you from where you started to where you want to be with your chewing and smiling and the fee includes all of the possible minor deviations.

Why am I making such a big deal about this? Well, honestly, less than 1% of dentists think like this and the bad news is that the other 99% when encountering variations in how they would get your from point A to point B with your dental care means added fees and costs all along the way. It’s not uncommon to hear reports where in another offi ce, the fee kept changing throughout treatment! Because of the years of experience at this, you’ll never have to worry about that situation with us.

What’s more, you’ll get a chance to receive a very detailed understanding (written in easy to understand terms not the typical medical gobbledygook that does no one any good) of what is possible for you, meet our staff of professionals and get a tour of our cutting-edge facility.

Dental implants help prevent the many costly and often painful dental problems that can arise later. Other potential health problems are also eliminated since ones nutrition is returned to normal by a diet of healthy foods.

We offer a generous fi nancing plan for qualifi ed individuals to help with larger procedures. Often your dental insurance will help pay a percentage of the total costs. We’ll provide you with over a dozen ways that other patients in similar situations handled the investment and went back to dental comfort again.

Since the dental implanting procedures take place in gradual steps over time, your investment can even be spread out over time as long as payment is complete when work is fi nishing.

Prevent Pain, Save Money

Financing Made Easy

Another distinct advantage: We work together to fi nd the best solution for you based on what YOU want to achieve.

My Dental Implant StoryWhen I first saw my dentist with my five hopeless teeth I was certain that there would be no option other than dentures. Next best would seem to be extensive bridgework. I was pleased and enthusiastic at the possibility of implants.

The best help was Dr. McAnally’s careful explanation of the future work. At the time it was all hard to imagine. However, as the work progressed it was systematic and obvious. One of the most interesting parts of the adventure was to see the actual plaster molds of my jaw with all the new work in place ready for me to begin using!

Now the implants have been well used and admired for seven years. I am now 75 years old with 20+ years of diabetes, so an ok was needed from my M.D. All went well during and after the procedure. I observed that Dr. McAnally has fine dental skills and also people skills. Beside these qualities, he has the artistic skills of Michelangelo and the craftsmanship of Paul Revere.

I am proud and pleased to recommend Dr. McAnally’s work and the adventure in general to anyone.

Ruth Yantis, 75, Los Angeles

Take Note:

the fees we quote include not just the implants, but the completed teeth, too.

That’s correct. Your new teeth are custom designed to match your natural teeth and to fit right in so that comfort and beauty return.

We’ve spent several chapters discussing the investment and why that investment makes sense in every respect.

The truth is that in almost every situation the hidden costs of doing nothing eventually exceed the cost of fixing the situation by leaps and bounds.

The big reason for this is: unhandled dental problems can only get worse. It is impossible for a serious dental situation to reverse itself by itself.

This is one of those unfortunate times where it would be a crime not to tell you what lays ahead in straight-forward language.

Thus, if you think you are having trouble and difficulty right now, look ahead and try to imagine what it will be like to suffer even more, to be forced to endure more pain--because you can bet on that occurring as time goes by.

Yes, there are the purely “dental” things that get worse, facial collapse, shrinking bone and gum, more tooth loss, impaired speech, inability to chew, unhealthy diet and taste loss.

Outside of those things, the other things that usually get worse are what are even more important in life:

- The Pain of romance snuffed out - The Pain of teeth that don’t look good and are noticeable to those around you - The Pain of tender, sensitive, uncomfortable teeth - The Pain of lost ability to enjoy your foods and the foods you crave to share with loved ones - The Pain of worsened nutrition and health - The Pain of outright pain every time you bite down - The Pain of lessened self-confidence and hiding of your best traits - The Pain of depleted friendships - The Pain of withdrawal from friends and family due to social embarrassment - The Pain of losing the attention of that “certain someone” whom you wished would notice you - The Pain of losing the promotion that should have been yours - The Pain of ever-increasing unsightly gaps among your teeth that worsen as you grow older - The Pain of threatened health: up to 2-4 times the risk of heart attack and stroke, worsened diabetes, arthritis that

won’t get better, increased chances of Alzheimer’s and certain types of cancers, more difficulty controlling certain heart diseases - The Pain of increasingly depleted physical energy - The Pain of the loss of your zest for life - For some people, the Pain means depression, a black cloud hanging over your life that won’t go away

I sincerely hope that none of these befall you. But the longer you wait, one (or many more) of these pains most certainly could occur.

So, the costs of not getting dental implant treatment are far, far worse and can cause the ultimate cost-Death. Your life cut short by neglecting, ignoring, hoping it will go away, putting it off and just not facing up to the very real, dark implications of not doing what you know you should.

Don’t let those little voices inside your head cast doubt that stops you.

Don’t let those little voices make you feel too embarrassed to get treatment….to do something about it.

Take charge and get the treatment you deserve.

HOW TO GET YOUR TEETH IN ONE DAY

Enhance Your Career……Make More Money You Are Never Too Old To Have A Healthy MouthFor many high level executives, sales people, realtors, small business owners and anyone who deals with the public face to face their mouth is how they make their money. It is their communication, appearance and self- confidence that allows them to get their jobs done and help others. Anything that holds you back from being who you are is going to affect ability to make an income.

Could you even imagine an entertainer or media person with unattractive teeth? Absolutely not! Thus, their “look” is critical to their success!

Guess what?….Your looks are vital for your success too and this holds true if you need to get others to do things, to persuade them or win them over in some way. And who doesn’t?

Dental implants could just possibly be the best dollars you’ll ever invest by making you more able to influence others to your way of thinking:

-Winning that promotion….Making more sales…..Putting a lot more money into your pocket.

Regardless of whether the stock market is up, the best place to invest is in YOURSELF because it gives you the ability to earn a better living if you are working or it allows you to have a better life for those of you who are retired.

A Real Case of Investing in Yourself

Take the case of Jean. Jean was a stay-at-home mom, a well-educated woman with multiple talents but who had now chosen to go back into the work force.

She had a problem: her teeth. Somehow she had never gotten around to them during all those years while her kids were growing up. Yes, she had regular check-ups but never did anything about them. Now she needed her mouth to look good to be able to get a job that paid her fairly well.

Oh, she got a job offer alright –for $22,000. But she knew the job she could get if she looked right…if she could smile with ease…easily and often…would probably have been about $48,000… a BIG difference.

It was going to cost many thousands to get her teeth fixed up. In fact Jean had the money but she was investing it, saving it for the “future”. She decided not to get her teeth fixed………..she got the 22,000 a year job.

Brenda was like Jean: a stay-at-home mom, well educated, multi- talented. Brenda had missing teeth and smile problems galore. Brenda had a job offer for $22,000 as did Jean and she also had a job offer for $48,000 a year.

Her treatment was going to be many thousands plus-even more costly than Jean’s because of the severity of her situation.

But Brenda was bright. She had saved the money just like Jean.

AND……Brenda was a thinker…she reasoned that even at 10% return on her money she would be better off with an increase in pay of $26,000 each year.

Plus getting the dental work done gave her a substantial tax deduction as most patients can deduct major dental care from their taxes with Uncle Sam effectively helping pick up 20-30% of the cost.

Not to mention all the other benefits of a healthy mouth that looks good and feels good.

Brenda got her treatment done.

She got her job...the one she really wanted…and the pay she deserved.

Not unless you have one foot in the grave and you are on your deathbed!

If you were in that situation you wouldn’t be reading this!

Why is it then that you are not too old for needed dental care? I believe a significant part of the answer lies in the fact that having a healthy mouth has a real potential to extend the length of your life and improve the quality of it.

Another reason is to maintain the health of those you love around you. You pass along your infection to them as we discussed!

Yet another reason: when you have teeth that work, that look good and feel good, your relationship with the world around you and within yourself is significantly better.

I discussed the importance of your smile as being a vital tool of communicating – relating and promoting yourself in your work or in your daily walk for those who are retired.

Your smile increases the pleasure others have in dealing with you and as a result it enhances all your relationships with others.

Even another reason: As you get older, material items become less important.

What becomes more important is how you feel, your overall health and maintaining relationships with those you love.

Having a healthy, properly functioning mouth affects every one of these desirable qualities.

Some recent evidence suggests that those who stay in dentures are more likely to wind up in a nursing home where health often declines faster further adding to that likelihood of a shorter lifespan.

For those who wind up in nursing homes with dentures, it’s also common that the last memory your family, grandchildren, and friends will have is one in which you were toothless at the end. My grandmother passed before dental implants had come into their own and unfortunately I have that very painful image as part of my memory of her.

Comparatively few dentists have taken the time, the extra courses, seminars, and hands-on training to be able to perform dental implants at such a high level.

“Implantology”, as this art and science is called, requires specialized procedures, instrumentation, and equipment.

During the process you and I may have many options. You can rest assured that I’m constantly seeking out the best options known and will make them clear to you when we discuss them.

For years my patients have referred friends to the offi ce for our expertise, friendly communication, and ability to get results.

I’m a member and prestigious Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Misch International Implant Institute; the worlds’ foremost clinical implant training facility.

Dr. Misch is the most recognized teacher on the planet. This doctor wrote the most authoritative textbooks on the subject, and because of that I went straight to him to bring back the results that patients deserve in Seattle. It wasn’t convenient or inexpensive to do this--it was simply the right thing to do for my patients.

I’ve taught at the University of Washington School of Dentistry and University of Washington Hospital Dentistry Resident Program. I graduated from Dr. Mischs’ International Implant Institute.

I hold a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and recently one of the biggest journals in the profession-Dentistry Today-named me one of the top educators in the entire profession.

My practice is one of the handful in the entire region that performs both the surgical placement and reconstructive phase of implants (placing the teeth themselves). Thus, you do not have to see two or more doctors in two or three different places to get your implant dentistry done. We have now accomplished over 14 years of handling patients needing implant dentistry.

My commitment to “doing it right” and the ability to “handle just about anything” has won the admiration of patients and doctors alike. In fact no other local dentist exceeds the number of endorsements from peers that you’ll see adorning the walls and website.

HOW TO GET YOUR TEETH IN ONE DAY

It Does Take Time, But Less Then You Imagine!

Anacapa Dental Art Institute“More than mere dentistry, helping you build a better life”

To schedule your consultation and to get going on your next step, call our Oxnard location (805) 988-8985 or our Woodland Hills location (818) 888-3750.

Competence You Can Count OnImplants do take some time but things have never been faster. In quite a few situations healing teeth can be stable on the implants on the day of surgery. In most cases treatments that used to routinely take 2 years now may only require 3-7 months.

Ask yourself this question: If my dental health was more important to my longevity than stopping smoking – just how important would my dental health be to me?

You’re probably thinking that’s a pretty strange question but according to one source those with good dental health lived 6.6 years longer while those who stopped smoking only increased their life by only 5.2 years. Almost a year and a half more benefi t from having good dental health than quitting something that everyone knows is harmful to health and lifespan!

If you look at this as a careful judge your gavel comes down with a pounding affi rmative that it is worth the time even if you don’t feel you have it.

Don S. – Banker, Sedation and Implant Dentistry Patient, Malibu

“Due to many years of not having dental insurance and not doing the best at oral care, my teeth had become embarrassing to me. The front two overlapped, some were missing, and I was seemingly always having some sort of abscess or other oral issues.

I decided to get proactive about my dental health and was looking for a dentist who could provide solutions to my problems. I came to Anacapa Dental Art Institute for a consultation. He offered it for free and it was very thorough. Anacapa Dental Art Institute made me feel comfortable, I could feel their compassion about the profession and I knew I could trust them to take care of me.

The solution was to be fi tted with implanted teeth. It started with the extraction of my poorest teeth (leaving me with 7 of my own natural teeth) and I was immediately fi tted with a denture to use while my mouth healed. The drugs used for this fi rst procedure were completely effective at numbing the pain senses and I was back at work in 4 days. At this stage it was very nice to have a mouth full of teeth that could actually grind and chew food and the fact that I could smile without embarrassment.

The next steps were equally pain free. Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the staff always provided me with the best of care and treatment. Now that my implant dental work is complete I will continue to see Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the team to provide my regular dental care. I’m eating and smiling without even thinking about it anymore. It’s really hard to believe!”

And like everything else that exists in life that is worth having, it takes some time.

Now with today’s technology treatment is easier, more convenient and takes less time than ever before. Make the time for yourself –you are worth it.

Need I point out to you that your spouse, partner, children, or grandchildren are counting on you?

Even if you are very busy making a living to provide for your loved ones, what would happen if you had a serious health problem from not getting and maintaining a healthy mouth? What about those who depend on you for support?

How much income do you lose then?

How much income do you lose by not having an attractive smile? (It is a lot more than you think)

Annette B, Harbor View Hospital, Children’s Care dept.

“My Success story goes something like this. At the age of 9 years old I stopped smiling. I was teased by other children and by my own siblings all my childhood. I decided that no one would get the opportunity to make fun of me anymore so I stopped smiling. As I grew older not having a smile hindered me from many opportunities for personal growth. Low self esteem became my greatest enemy due to my fear of smiling. What would people think of me whenever they looked at me and saw my crooked and discolored teeth was all I could think about. For many years I sought out many dental professionals for help only to walk away feeling hopeless. Most dental professionals would reprimand me saying “I was at fault for the condition of my teeth”. But somehow through all the years of hearing that I kept hope alive deep within my heart. I dreamed that someday I would possess a beautiful smile and I would be able to speak eloquently without fearing that someone would be looking at my teeth and judging me.

June of 2006, I had a date with destiny. I met Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the staff for a free consult. Then I quickly scheduled a second appointment to hear the findings of my first appointment and whether there was something that could be done for me. They informed me that I would be a good candidate for dental implants. Needless to say I felt overjoyed and finally I could see a dream long awaited coming true.

On January 3, 2007 Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the kind staff unveiled my new smile. My self esteem soared through the roof. I have confidence that I never had before. I feel I can finally reach and attain my life goals. I thank ADAI and the staff for making me feel special throughout the visits, surgery and finally my new smile. I’m forever grateful to all of you!

Gary G. - Whidbey Island Chiropractor

Let me tell you how the process of going from an upper denture and a few lower working teeth with a partial went for me. Every few years or so would have a lower tooth flare up on me and give me really bad tooth aches. Where my tooth would hurt for days and keep me up at night. Sometimes it would even swell up and as a Chiropractor myself you can imagine how bad that looks to my own patients. I knew after years of neglect that it was time to start taking care of my dental health. So I searched the web and found Anacapa Dental Art Institute. After my initial visit I knew this was the place for me.

After my first and only big surgery I was sore for a couple of days, but I had pain pills to take care of that. It was on a Thursday and I was back to work functioning fine by the following Monday! That was great to not have to miss any work. Plus I haven’t been in any pain the last two months with these temporary denture healing teeth. I never realized what a thorn my teeth used to be and how they were affecting my life in a negative way. I was always in pain. For the last 30 years I‘ve been dealing with constant pain and infection in my body from my teeth. It’s amazing how much better my body has felt since I got my old infected teeth out of my body. I sleep better, don’t have ear aches anymore and my appetite is up! I’m just so much happier in general. I never realized how big of an impact my teeth could have on my happiness in life!

Gary

Al F - Implant and Sedation Patient, Los Angeles School Teacher

“Based on previous experiences at other dental offices over the years, I found that even minor surgery was always very painful afterwards. My surgery was pretty serious that ADAI had to perform but I was AMAZED at how comfortable I was after my surgery. I was virtually pain-free, and I don’t remember a thing, unbelievable!”

“I delayed writing this testimonial until the pictures from my son’s wedding arrived. For the first time in well over twenty years there I was with a full natural smile, teeth showing. For the last several months since the procedure I have been able to speak in public and socialize freely without being constantly concerned about smiling too broadly, showing gaps in my smile from missing teeth. I have also been able to eat without pain, chewing freely without fear of a loose denture and poor digestion. I come from a family with a long history of bad teeth, bad bone structure and that combined with the fear of dentists lead to many of many dental problems. I have never been as comfortable going to a dentist as I have been with Anacapa Dental Art Institute! The comfort begins with the support staff and extends to the dental team. The staff is very supportive, understanding and listened to my needs and fears. The dental Procedures are explained step by step with no surprises, which was important to me. The quality of care is excellent. The dental procedure was extensive and yet remarkably free from pain. The sedation provided was truly amazing, the procedures went flawlessly and the follow-up dental care has been terrific!

In summary I would recommend Anacapa Dental Art Institute without hesitation to anyone needing extensive dental procedures. The care I have received has been nothing short of amazing and I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Anacapa Dental and the entire Staff!”

Dan L - Implant & Sedation Dentistry Patient, Business Owner

“I have been visiting the dentist chair for most of my life. When I was born it was discovered that I had virtually little to no enamel coating on my teeth for protection against decay and breakage. I was one of twelve children from an upper middle class family. However, dental plans did not cover much, if any, major dental procedures. The seriousness of my condition was, unfortunately, not really recognized until the extent of damage was way out of control.

In my early twenties, I was involved in a major auto accident which split my face wide open and literally knocked out most of my teeth. My course of dental treatment involved removing what remaining teeth were loose and re-implanting the teeth that I had fortunately kept after being knocked out. Then, I received root canals, bridges, cavity fillings, braces temporarily – and ultimately my entire mouth of teeth being capped with white gold and then baked enamel. The result was very satisfactory - initially. However, the maintenance and upkeep was very intense, let alone expensive. Over a period of less than ten years, despite my vigilant upkeep, the gum tissue recessed to the point of no repair and the bone deteriorated rapidly as well. I felt that there were no affordable or effective solutions with any type of duration of stability. I finally had to accept the inevitable and had to have all of my teeth removed (and get dentures).

I initially decided to go to Anacapa Dental Art Institute for an exam and appraisal of my dentures and to find out price, aesthetic appeal (natural looking), and options available. I was aware that the health of my mouth affected my over all health and well being.

I feel that I was provided with the latest state of the art technology and information at a reasonable cost overall, everything considered. The utmost attention to every detail was attended to in a comfortable environment with a pleasant staff with a minimum of discomfort and pain. The efforts to provide complete customer satisfaction in every way possible are the reasons that I continue aftercare with this clinic. I would refer anyone to Anacapa Dental Art Institute that is willing to seriously address their dental needs rather than just get by for the moment.

Time, of course, will tell the true attributes of my treatment. I was never led to believe that anything was a sure remedy or solution. As a result of my experience, I walked away with a beautiful smile for the first time in over a decade. I am now able to eat most any type of food very comfortably. With the implants, my teeth don’t move around anymore. The natural, “not uniform,” appearance of my new teeth make them look as real as possible, rather than draw attention and “scream fake.”

Thank you for convincing me to take the first step and follow through.”

“Clear communication is everything – I got very specific, clear information from Anacapa Dental Art Institute upfront, with no surprises or hidden charges. I am very happy with my decision to go through with treatment at Anacapa Dental Art Institute office; I know I made the right choice. I even earned enough frequent flyer miles for a free vacation to Hawaii out of it by paying in full on my credit card!”

“Due to many years of not having dental insurance and not being the best at oral care, my teeth had become embarrassing to me. The front two overlapped, some were missing, and I was seemingly always having some sort of abscess or other oral issues.

I decided to get proactive about my dental health and was looking for a dentist who could provide solutions to my problems. I came to Anacapa Dental Art Institute for a consultation. It’s offered for free and it was very thorough. Anacapa Dental Art Institute made me feel comfortable. I could feel the compassion about the profession and I knew I could trust them to take care of me.

The solution was to be fitted with implanted teeth. It started with the extraction of my poorest teeth (leaving me with 7 of my own natural teeth) and I was immediately fitted with a denture to use while my mouth healed. The drugs used for this first procedure were completely effective at numbing the pain senses and I was back at work in 4 days. At this stage it was very nice to have a mouth full of teeth that could actually grind and chew food and the fact that I could smile without embarrassment.

The next steps were equally pain free; Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the staff always provided me with the best of care and treatment. Now that my implant dental work is complete, I will continue to see ADAI and the team to provide my regular dental care.

“I got my first set of dentures when I was 21 years old. My teeth were always soft and on top of that I loved my sweets! I never was really good at brushing my teeth either. Then over the years I’ve had 5 sets of dentures made because every few years they would get loose on me as my bone structure was shrinking, and they no longer stayed in place. I never liked the look of my denture teeth either. They were very fake looking and I was always covering up my smile because I felt it didn’t fit me. Then when I came to see Anacapa Dental Art Institute and they made me a GENEVA set of dentures with real porcelain teeth in the front. They looked really natural and fit great!! I didn’t have any sore spots at all! His attention to detail really paid off in the end. Thank you Anacapa Dental Art Institute and staff for helping me get through the process painlessly!”

“When I first came to Anacapa Dental Art Institute office I was so embarrassed I didn’t even want to let the dentist see my teeth let alone anyone in my life or the public. I was wearing a horrible upper denture plate and missing my front bottom teeth. It was really affecting my social life. I started noticing how I would just go to work and come home and decline all invitations to dinner or any social events and I never smiled. It was a lonely way to live and one day I just said I’ve had enough it’s time to do something about my bad teeth. Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the assistant Melissa were great at making the process a comfortable thing for me to go through physically and emotionally. They didn’t beat me up for letting my teeth get that bad and helped me focus

on my future not my past actions. I’m really happy that I decided to make the investment in my teeth and my life. I would recommend anyone in my similar situation to see what Anacapa Dental Art Institute can do for them!”

“I’ve had my new teeth for a couple weeks now and I just love how I can chew through any food I desire. Before I had this procedure done I was missing all my front teeth and wearing a bulky partial with metal hooks. I was living with headaches, TMJ problems, my jaw locking open and muscle spasms for decades. Now my TMJ problems are all but gone. Not to mention the bonus fact that I have a beautiful new smile. My original teeth were never even this nice. That’s proof of how good Anacapa Dental Art Institute is at creating new smiles! Amber and Melissa also made going through this process as easy as possible for me and were always there to answer any questions that I had along the way. Plus all the pre and post operative forms that they gave me were right on the money in telling me what to expect throughout my treatment timeline. My partner and I are so very pleased that we decided to go through with care here at Anacapa Dental Art Institute.”

“Here’s my story: I had to have all my top teeth taken out when I was 25 years old and have been struggling with a full upper denture ever since. I also had a partial on the bottom that I absolutely hated and hurt me to wear. I only wore it at work or when I was in public. As soon as I got home I would take it out. Besides hurting my mouth, the denture also gave me bad headaches all the time. My care at Anacapadenta Art Institute didn’t hurt as much as I thought it might. After the first and only surgery I was sore for a few days but it wasn’t bad at all.

I just love my new teeth. They work just like real teeth. They are awesome. I can eat salads, fruits and veggies again and actually taste my food! It’s great. Plus my headaches are gone and my family has also noticed how much more happy I am since I had this done! I get compliments all the time on my teeth; people can’t even tell they aren’t real. Thanks to Anacapa Dental Art Institute and his staff for making the process as smooth as possible for me!”

“I saw a newspaper add that Anacapa Dental Art Institute had in the Los Angeles times and I thought to myself, if there is a dentist that can help me- it’s him! Before I went in to see him I was having terrible headaches and ear aches for 20 plus years. I thought that was just the way it had to be, painful. I didn’t know that all my pain was coming from my ill fitting dentures. I was desperate for a solution and I found it thanks to the help of Anacapa Dental Art Institute. My headaches are completely gone and I have a beautiful new youthful smile again. I’m so happy I can’t stop smiling. I had almost no problem adjusting to my new implant supported teeth. My speech was great and I was eating roast beef again one week after I got my new teeth. I’m so happy!”

“I have been through a lot of dental work in my 50 some years. I finally decided after only having 6 teeth left in my mouth that I needed to seek a more permanent solution, so I searched on the internet and found Anacapa Dental Art Institute. I talked it over with my husband and I decidted to make the appointment. I was very pleased after my first visit with him. I started this process in November and now it is May and I have my teeth and I’m so happy that I made the decision to have this type of treatment done. It was actually the expense that I was more nervous rather than the surgery or treatment itself! We pooled everything together to make it happen and now I am so happy with my smile for the first time in my life. Thank you so much.

Anacapa Dental Art Institute team made the entire process very easy from start to finish. Anacapa Dental Art Institute began with a written summary and visual presentation of my current dental situation and my treatment options available at his office. Everything went according to the original presented plan that I chose. When I was going through the procedures the very supportive staff explained all the steps of my care so I always felt included in my treatment and knew what the next step involved. That alone alleviated my anxiety about the appointments. I am very happy with the final result and I can eat anything I want! It shows that Anacapa Dental Art Institute really cares about his patients, and the end result!!

“When I first saw my dentist with my five hopeless teeth I was certain that there would be no option other than dentures. Next best would seem to be extensive bridgework. I was pleased and enthusiastic at the possibility of implants.

The best help was Anacapa Dental Art Institute’s careful explanation of the future work. At the time it was all hard to imagine. As the work progressed it was systematic and obvious. One of the most interesting parts of the adventure was to see the actual plaster molds of my jaw with all the new work in place. Now the implants have been well used and admired for seven years. I am now 75 years old with 20+ years of diabetes so an ok was needed from my M.D. All went well during and after the procedure. I observe that ADAI has fine dental skills, also people skills. Beside these qualities he has the artistic skills of Michelangelo and the craftsmanship of Paul Revere.

I am proud and pleased to recommend Anacapa Dental Art Institute’s work in general to anyone.”

“Living with my Dentures was embarrassing and the glue would always come undone. A couple of times it happened in the middle of dinner at a classy restaurant! It was very annoying. I couldn’t eat very well, if at all. I had a very tough time with my dentures. At Anacapa Dental Art Institute I always knew what to expect because they explained things very well in terms that even I could understand! The procedures that I had done went outstandingly well and Anacapa Dental Art Institute assistant Melissa does a great job and always makes you feel comfortable. I healed up very fast after the surgery. I was looking for a better quality of life beyond my dentures and Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the staff helped me achieve it!! I feel so confident now all the time and I’m never worried if my teeth with fall out anymore! I have absolutely no regrets and would recommend anyone thinking of doing this to go for it! One day while reading the newspaper, I found an ad for people who are afraid of the dentist. After calling the number and researching online I mustered up enough courage to call and schedule an appointment; and that was the hardest part of my entire ordeal! From my very first visit Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. My appointments were painless. In fact I don’t remember anything! “Before I came to see Anacapa Dental Art Institute my teeth were horrible. I was living with a removable partial which limited my eating and affected many areas of my life. Getting implants has been a very positive change for me. I eat better, my health is better and I am confident with my smile. I enjoy steak and apples which prior to my treatment was not an option. Prior to coming to Anacapa Dental Art Institute my mouth was a not in good shape at all! I was missing many teeth on both sides of my mouth. When I didn’t have my partials in I would be forced to eat like a rabbit! I stopped smiling and I only would see dentists in the past on the spurring of my wife and when I did go I did not feel comfortable at all. The day of my surgery, I remember walking in and then the next thing I remember was “That is it!” As a result of my surgery my confidence is back. I can eat steak once again and I can smile! My experience has remained positive across the board. Entering the office to this day is a pleasure! I would be and have been happy to recommend Anacapa Dental Art Institute to all that need to have this type of treatment.

“When I made the initial call to Anacapa Dental Art Institute I was a bit nervous about the procedure but was determined to get the work done that I needed. I had been working very hard and had saved my money for the right time and the right dentist. When I arrived at Anacapa Dental Art Institute my teeth were disintegrating from decay and infection. Just a mess! I could not even bite into bread! It was very hard to be interacting with the public and in my business that is a crucial part of keeping me successful! Since my procedure I have had many compliments and even a close friend of mine whom I hadn’t seen in years could not quite pin what had changed about me but was surprised by the change!

It was very satisfactory to have all the information involved in the planning and execution of the various procedures to achieve the final goal. It was amazing how little discomfort I felt at any time and it is a joy to be able to bite, chew and taste properly again! “My natural teeth had been a source of embarrassment and pain for many years. The embarrassment was difficult enough to deal with but the pain was excruciating at times. I will never forget waking up in early 2002 and discovering that several of the crowns in the front were loose. My biggest fear was having my teeth fall out while talking. I carried a mirror in my purse so I could check my teeth several times a day to make sure they were all there. I couldn’t smile as much as I wanted because I was afraid people would see my teeth - or lack of teeth. During this time, I consistently made excuses for avoiding social situations especially those that involved eating. I became known as the person taking all the pictures instead of being in them. I couldn’t smile lest my teeth show and be recorded in family albums for all to see. At Anacapa Dental Art Institute’s office I had many questions and all were answered completely and to my satisfaction.

The surgery was scheduled and after years of avoidance I was actually looking forward to starting the process. I was given medication to take both before and after surgery so I felt ready to deal with the pain. Immediately after arriving home, I took the pain medication as prescribed and then proceeded to sleep for several hours. Upon waking there was no pain and I did not need any additional medication. I immediately ran to the mirror and was completely surprised. The healing teeth looked great and I was ready to face the world with a smile. My happiness this past year has increased a hundred fold as years of stress have been lifted from my life. I also have started appearing in family photos after a thirty-year absence. My story would not be complete without giving complete credit and thanks to Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the staff. From my initial phone call last year to this point, I have experienced quality care from all members of his team at each and every appointment. All procedures are performed in the office which not only is comforting for fearful patients but also scheduling and travel hassles are eliminated. I am told in advance how long each appointment will take and in all cases the time commitment has been met.

This certainly makes it easy when scheduling around work and family obligations. The office is meticulously clean and free of loud noises. One gets the feeling of peacefulness, which reduced my stress. I will forever be grateful for finding Anacapa Dental Art Institute and entrusting my dental needs to his care. His expertise, professionalism, and sense of humor have taken me from hopelessness to happiness over this past year. Melissa and Amber are integral parts of his team as they helped guide me through procedures, appointments, and insurance claims. They empathized with me at the beginning when I was full of fear and now rejoice in my success as I near the end of treatment.”

“After living with my denture for over 40yrs I finally reached a point where I knew that I had to do something. If there was any possible way to rid this annoyance from my life I was willing to do it. I felt so relieved when Anacapa Dental Art Institute gave me my options and the plan was in place to get treatment started. Anacapa Dental Art Institute and the staff were very cordial, and supportive every step of the way; the work itself was as painless as possible. In fact the only part of my surgery I remember is checking in and checking out. Now I have my new teeth and a great smile. When Anacapa Dental Art Institute asked me what I have been eating since I got my new teeth I jokingly replied that I eat “seafood” meaning I eat everything in sight! I now confidently recommend Anacapa Dental Art Institute to anyone wanting to eat and smile again. I have a new quality of life to look forward to!

“I can chew gum again!” and that’s not even the best part of my new life with secure teeth again, thanks to dental implants. I can feel the roof of my mouth again after years of wearing a full denture plate on my upper. I absolutely hated dealing with using glue to hold in my upper teeth and not being able to eat real solid foods and taste the flavors of what I could manage to eat. It was awful and barbaric but I thought that it was my only option out there once you lost your teeth. I was so embarrassed about not having any teeth that I never told my husband while we were dating and he still didn’t know up until I decided to get the help I needed from Anacapa Dental Art Institute. The dental office has definitely never been a place I look forward to going to but I must say that my whole experience at Anacapa Dentail Art Institute office went super smooth and anxiety free from the first consultation to the final appointment when I got my new smile. An Investment in Yourself That You Deserve

“The mouth in its entirety is an important and even wondrous part of our anatomy, our emotions, our life; it is the site of our very being. When an animal loses its teeth, it cannot survive unless it is domesticated; its very existence is terminated; it dies. In the human, the mouth is the means of speaking, of expressing love, happiness and joy, anger, ill temper or sorrow. It is the primary sex contact; hence it is of initial import to our regeneration and survival by food and propagation. It deserves the greatest care it can receive at any sacrifi ce.”
