Let your voice be heard.Education is vital to the future of our province. It affects everything and everyone.

The decisions we make about education today will change the way we experience tomorrow. We want to hear from you about building classrooms that meet current and future needs.

Important questions that must be answered:• What should public education look like?• What do we want our children to know?• How do we provide our youth with the skills required to

compete in a global context?• What is the role of schools in communities?• How do we encourage children to be critical thinkers, media

savvy and enthusiastic citizens?• What role should schools play in promoting creativity, empathy

and respect for self and others?• How do we encourage local involvement?

Join with the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation, and the more than 13,000 Saskatchewan teachers we represent, as we seek answers to these and other important questions. We want your thoughts, opinions and dreams.

Help create a vision for the future.

The Re-Imagine Education initiative will clarify the issues facing education today, imagine what the future might look like and plan how to make the vision a reality.

The Next Steps

Phase 1: Review – The Pathway

The initial phase involves a review and presentation of the many complex issues influencing public education today.

The review will offer pathways intended to stimulate conversation and dialogue with the public for a re-imagined future for public education in Saskatchewan.

The discussion guide will set the stage for some extraordinary conversations within communities across the province.

All members of the public and/or anyone with an interest in public education will have an opportunity to engage in and contribute to the creation of a vision for the future of education in Saskatchewan.

As a result of a series of extensive and deliberative public engagement processes, the summary report will pull together the ideas and aspirations, and offer strategies and solutions that can strengthen or improve public education in Saskatchewan communities.

Phase 2: Engage – The Journey

Phase 3: Re-Imagine – The Destination

Re-imagining education is a mammoth undertaking but its value is beyond measure. The success of this endeavour will depend on the participation of many. This is why we are reaching out to the broader community including students, parents, seniors, post-secondary institutions, labour groups, chambers of commerce, taxpayers and other advocacy organizations. Individuals can participate through public engagements and online surveys.

Education affects us all, so we want to hear from you.
