Gateway Overview
Gateway serves two primary purposes:1. Data Collection
• Gateway collects and provides access to information about how taxes and other public dollars are budgeted and spent by Indiana’s local units of government.
• Local units of government submit data to certain state agencies online.
• Specifically, local officials submit budget forms and debt reports to the DLGF via Gateway. Annual financial reports and employee compensation reports are submitted to the SBOA via Gateway.
2. Data Transparency• Submitted information is immediately available for review by state
agencies and is accessible online to the public shortly thereafter.

• Green reports – DLGF (Department of Local Government Finance)
• Red reports – SBOA (State Board of Accounts)
• Blue reports – IEERB (Indiana Education Employment Relations Board)
