An Introduction to China Packaging Federation

China Packaging Federation (CPF) is one of the national industry federations with the approval of the State Council, its predecessor China Packaging Technology Association (CPTA) was established in 1980, and in Sep. 2nd, 2004, with the approval ofthe Ministry of Civil Affairs, CPTA formally changed its name to CPF. CPF holds 22 professional committees, and a national-wide industrial network has been set up consisting of the local associations from provinces, autonomous regions,municipalities, cities specifically designated in the state plan and major cities all over China, and there are approximately 6000 group members of various levels. 　 　

China Packaging Federation has established contact and cooperation relations with packaging organizations in more than 20 countries and regions. It represents the People's Republic of China in the World Packaging Organization (WPO), Asia Packaging Federation (APF) and international packaging organizations such as Internat ional Corrugated Case Association (ICCA), Asian Corrugated Case Association (ACCA), Asia-Pacific Steel Drum Association (AOSD) and European Aerosol Federation (FEA). In Jan. of 2009, Shi Wanpeng, the president of China Packaging Federation, was inaugurated as president of Asia Packaging Federation.

China Packaging Federation is an autonomic industrial organization in China's packaging industry. The purpose of CPF is to focus on Ch ina 's economic construction, promote sustained, rapid, healthy and harmonious development of China’s packaging industry and contribute to making China a strong packaging country under the direct administration of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), following the Three-Service Principles (i.e. to serve enterprises, serve industry and serve the government), and relying on the local packaging sub-associations and packaging enterprises all over China.

China’s GDP still maintains a 9.6 percent increase in the first half of 2011, though global economy grows slowly. It’s well-known that China is the largest products manufacturer and exporter in the world and has a tremendous market. According to an incomplete statistics, total values of China packaging industry in 2010 amounted to 1.2 trillion yuan, and China has become the second largest packaging power next to U.S.. Supported by China Packaging Federation and various international packaging organizations, CHIPF2010 has been held successfully and highly recognized in the packaging industry. In addition, 82 percent visitors were satisfied with the fair. The fair covers an area of 55,000 ㎡ and 25 percent international exhibitors attended it. What’s more, over 100 famous enterprises joined in it, which included main packaging categories: packaging technology, packaging materials and products, packaging machinery and equipments. CHIPF has grown into the Asian largest packaging expo, just as remarks “large scale, high level, good result and far-reaching effect” from the leader of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC). CHIPF2012 will choose “ Better Packaging , More Success ” as a theme . The exhibition will focus on packaging design, new packaging materials application,

simple packaging concept, packaging recycling and packaging safety. In the meanwhile, CHIPF2012 will continue to inherit the good trend that international exhibitors actively participated in the fair. Besides, it will promotes more exchanges on new technology, equipments, products and visitor-inviting. The construction cost of standard booth is RMB 100/㎡ for overseas exhibitors.

Standard booth: a wallboard of 2.4m height, a signal board, a counter table, two chairs, two spotlights, a plug of 220V 5A and a standard carpet of 9 ㎡. Other exhibition equipments and service costs will be undertaken by exhibitors.

Pavilions (Raw space) are rented based on 36 square meters, and standard booths are rented based on 9 square meters. The raw space has no exhibition frames or facilities.

Pavilions in A district are located in the main entrance to the exhibition halls and near the main passage of the exhibition halls. Pavilions in B district can be deduced in the same way.

At first, exhibitors hand over application forms, and then, the organizers will arrange the exhibition pavilions according to the submitting time of application forms.

Deadline of registration: Apr.30, 2012

The organizer should contact with the application companies and confirm their exhibition within an week after their receipts of the application form. After the exhibitors confirm the exhibition districts and prices, they should pay 30% of the total costs of exhibition pavilions as a down payment in 15 days. Besides, after the organizer receives the down payment, they should confirm the pavilions. Rest of the payment should be paid before the deadline of registrations (Apr.30, 2012). In addition, the exhibitor should fax immediately the receipts of payments for later references. In special situations, the organizer has the right to adjust the pavilions in exhibition districts.
