We believe that only when a team is aligned in their thinking will they be able to align their action to produce meaningful results. All too often progress is slowed by individuals feeling unheard or under-valued.

Powerful teams are the result of positive and engaging interactions – in meetings and in one on one conversations. Our passion is to empower individuals and teams to learn to think together in a way that eliminates argument and creates the space for innovative solutions to emerge.

Edward De Bono's Six Thinking Hats courses have trained over 500,000 people around the

world since 1989. He has written over 60 books and is considered 'the father' of modern thinking. In the 1970's he coined the term 'Lateral Thinking' and has dedicated his career to empowering people with tools that help them to think in radical new ways.

Verity is a trainer, facilitator and keynote speaker on innovation. A former singer/songwriter, she

gained acclaim for an innovative approach to the music industry where she sold an album that 'didn't exist' online after using the Six Hats to work out how to raise funding.

Her story has been featured on Journey To The Core and Carte Blanche, and is also included in the HSBC ‘Top 100 Business Ideas’ in the UK and is the Wits University MBA case study on viral marketing.

As an accredited Edward De Bono Six Thinking Hats trainer, Verity works across South Africa to enable companies to innovate, problem solve and gain the competitive edge in their industries. Alongside training of De Bono’s methods, Verity also facilitates strategy sessions for management teams and their employees. She is a sought after keynote speaker on innovation and works with numerous companies as an ongoing thinking partner for strategic success.

The difference between mediocre and highly effective teams lies not so much in their collective mental equipment, but in how well they use their abilities to think and how well they work together. The Six Hats method provides the disciplined process for individuals to be focused and to the point and to communicate without arguing. But possibly most important, it requires each individual to look at all sides of an issue. Employees like the way the Six Hats method neutralizes employee rank in a meeting where several levels of employees are present. It also puts people who are quiet and reserved on an equal playing field with those who are more talkative and might monopolize a meeting.

Feedback from participants shows that One Day Courses are never enough for them to become fully immersed in the process and grasp the tools so that they can effectively implement them back in the work place.

We offer the option of the 1 Day Courses being supplemented with a second day facilitated workshop for delegates to experience the tools working on actual business issues.

Feedback from participants shows that once back at the office it is all too easy to forget what they have learned. To ensure that this is not the case, we have created an 8 week offering of weekly ‘drip feed’ emails to refresh the course content through exercises, short videos and templates. These work to keep the training front of mind and help to embed the new way of thinking into daily activity.

The power of the Team Thinking Workshops is that they not only connect a team through fun, laughter and shared experience, but they also impart valuable thinking skills to be taken back into the work environment. They provide a short introduction to the Six Hats and Lateral Thinking, and will provide a powerful platform to unite, inspire and transform a team. Workshops can be used as an opportunity to have teams problem solve existing issues they face. They work well in conjunction with full training as a way to introduce the wider team to the tools and the value of the day will filter positively into your organisation long after the workshop is completed.

Please not that they do not provide the in-depth experience that the course and manuals do.

The closer people are to the origination of an idea, the more likely they are to act on it. Using the Six Hats for strategy and ideation sessions has proved invaluable to our clients and is a powerful way to ensure buy-in from every member of a team.

All sessions are captured and collated to ensure that none of the thinking is lost and that clear action points are defined. We use a combination of De Bono thinking tools and the Balanced Scorecard to approach strategic conversations for teams, departments and entire organisations.
