The ISSCT (International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists) holds its International Sugar Cane Congress every three years. This Society has 24 affiliated countries.SATCA (Argentine Society of Sugar Cane Technicians) is the local organi-ser and host. Representatives of 72 different countries are expected to attend.The average number of attendees is approx. 2,500.More than 400 papers were submitted, exceeding the historical number.The history of sugar cane production in Argentina has almost 3 centuries. This event will be held in 3 provinces in the north of Argentina: Tucumán (Pre Congress and Congress) and Salta/Jujuy (Post Congress).

PRE CONGRESS: Tucumán - August 31 - September 1Includes visits to institutions, factories, and sugar cane production fields.

CONGRESS: Tucumán - September 2 to 5Plenary sessions about the most relevant and recent topics related to the production. Analysis of relevant issues in relation to the future of the sugar cane industry.

Presentations of scientific papers: progress in relation to technological innovations and develop-ments.Exhibition of agricultural and industrial products, equipment and machinery related to sugar cane.

POST CONGRESS: Salta and Jujuy - September 6 - 8The tour will show the development and technology applied to sugar cane production and industrial processes in Argentina. It includes demonstrative and dynamic guided tours to factories and fields to observe the most relevant machinery and operating equipment.
