Go ye means go me? It makes a nice, catchy title for a book, but lets

look at the context. Where did the phrase begin? To whom was He talking?

To the eleven Matthew 28:16 & Mark 16:14.But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto themountain where Jesus had appointed them.

    Matt 28:16

And afterward He was manifested unto the eleven themselves as they sat at meat.

    Mark 16:14

    Go ye means go me?

It makes a nice, catchy title for a book, but letslook at the context.

    Where did the phrase begin?

To whom was He talking? Is it reasonable to assume that go and make disciples

of all nations and go into all the world would be

meant to apply to every Christian for all time? On the other hand, is it reasonable to assume that

some of us have no responsibility for evangelism

    of any kind?

    What is our responsibility?

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer toeveryone who asks you to give the reason for the

hope that you have. But do this with gentlenessand respect, keeping a clear conscience, so thatthose who speak maliciously against your good

behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 1 Peter 3:15-16

    Romans 12:4-8

Just as each of us has one body with many members, andthese members do not all have the same function, so inChrist we who are many form one body, and each member

belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a mans gift is

prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it isserving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is

encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to theneeds of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him doit cheerfully.

Paul itemizes a different list in 1 Corinthians 12:message of wisdom, message of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, miraculous powers, prophecy, distinguishing betweenspirits, speaking intongues, interpretation of tongues

    Gifts

Still another list in Ephesians 4:11 It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be

prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors

    and teachers

    What is our responsibility?

And the Lord's servant must not strive, but begentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing, inmeekness correcting them that oppose

themselves; if peradventure God may give themrepentance unto the knowledge of the truth, andthey may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him untohis will.2 Timothy 2:24-26
