Sixth Graduation Ceremony of M. Tech. and MBA Programs and Fourth Graduation Ceremony of B. Tech. Programs was celebrated on Saturday, 19thJanuary, 2019. The Pro-gram Completion Certificates were conferred upon 592 B. Tech., 157 M. Tech. and 88 MBA students on this gracious occasion. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Hon. Mr. Rajneesh Malviya, Vice-President, Service Offering Head-Financial Services, Head, Pune Development Center, Infosys Ltd., Pune. The function was presided by Hon. Bhagatsinh Patil, Chairman, Board of Governance, RIT. Hon.Prin. R. D. Sawant, Secretary, Kasegaon Education Society and Member of the BOG and Dr.Mrs. Sushma Kulkarni, Director RIT. The esteemed members of BOG, Members of Academic Council, Members of Board of Studies of various departments, Academicians and Industry representative, Parents of graduates and other invitees totaling to around 1,300 in number were present for this August gathering. The academic procession led by the topper amongst all programs held flag of the Institute followed by all dignitaries and graduates. After the lightening of holy lamp by the Chief Guest, a welcome song was sung by students of Music Club of RIT. The dignitaries were briefly introduced followed by their felicitation by Hon. Bhagatsinh Patil. Director Madam pre-sented the annual report of the Institute highlighting the recognitions and rewards received during last year and also mentioned various initiatives taken by the Institute in academics and research. The graduation ceremony progressed with the Director administering the Oath of Professional Ethics and Life-Long Learning to all the pass-outs. The rankers of seven pro-grams of B.Tech., eleven programs of M. Tech. and M.B.A., including the gold-medalist were felicitated with rank medals by the Chief Guest. This year the Gold Medal was award-ed to Mr. Shete Shreyas Mallikarjun from B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Hase Aniket Anil from M. Tech. (Mechanical) Design Engineering. Mr. Kalel Sudarshan Mahadev, M. Tech. (Mechanical) Design Engineering were the Best Outgoing PG Student for the year 2017-2018.

After graduation, started his career in Oracle database administration in

2003. He got breakthrough in TCS in 2005 and implemented Oracle RAC for one

TCS client and received appreciation and also awarded US visa. From 2007,

worked in New York city for same TCS client and successful to migrate critical da-

tabase in record 2 months time and helped client to avoid huge late fees. Received

several customer service certificates during the tenure in TCS. Became Oracle Ex-

adata Administration Certified Expert in 2017 and went to USA for further career

opportunities. Handled projects with client like UBS Swiss Bank, Pfizer, Ameriprise

Financials, Nelson, Cargill Inc and Air India.

Projects: Helped client to save money by migrating critical 90 Oracle databases

in record 2 months time to different data centers. Successfully implemented Oracle

10g RAC in just 3 days records time in one of its pilot project in TCS .

Built up offshore team to support US financial client and established SLAs for Ora-

cle 9i/10g databases supported critical application and database deployment for

Sundgard. Supported multiple technologies like Tomcat, Weblogic. Oracle 9i/10g

DBs. Worked as Cluster Lead and managed 4 different Support and Deployment

projects and teams of 5 project leads and 40 team members.

Implemented strict SLAs and achieved it for Cargill Inc. In Oracle Support pro-

ject. Kept team at number 1 in the account and received appreciation for the same.

Additionally, he has established multiple businesses in Pune and running it suc-

cessfully. His businesses include 1 academy, 1 restaurant and 6 salons. With

learning from IT industries, these businesses has well established processes which

enables him to handle this business from USA.

Mr.Ganesh Mali ( B. E. Electronics Batch -

2008 ), Business Analyst, Netcracker Technolo-

gies Ltd, Pune visited the department on 9th Feb-

ruary 2019. He shared his experience in the field

of Mobile Communication . This helped students

to get knowhow of mobile communication. Also

guided them about how to prepare for interview.

Polytechnic, Malvan visited department on 9th

February 2019. He discussed with students

about the attributes and its importance required

to become good human being and a successful

engineer.

One of our renowned alumni Mr. Taussif Mulla

(PhD scholar at Seoul National University, Ko-

rea) from batch 2007 visited our institute on

23/01/2019. He delivered an expert lecture on

topic " Higher Education in Abroad " to T.Y.B

Tech Mechanical students. During his speech he

talked on- how to prepare for various exams

such as GRE, TOFEL, IELTS. He also given

overview of documents required to apply for Foreign University. Students were very excit-

ed about his carrier graph and his achievement.

at University of Arizona) from batch 2012-13 visited

our institute on 31/01/2019. She delivered an expert

lecture on topic "Master of science in US with online

mode" to T.Y. B Tech Mechanical Engineering stu-

dents. During her speech she informed student about-

MS. Students were very excited about her carrier

graph and her achievement.

Our renowned alumni Mr. Manoj Ghadge from batch

2017-18 visited our institute on 12/02/2019. He deliv-

ered an expert lecture on topic "Job opportunities

through GATE examination" to Final Year B Tech Me-

chanical Engineering students. During his speech he

informed them about various job opportunity through

GATE. Also he guided students for preparation of

GATE and IES exam. Students were very excited

about his knowledge.

One of our renowned alumni Mr. Akshay Hankari

batch 2017-18 visited our institute on 12/02/2019. He

delivered an expert lecture on topic "Study of IIM ex-

am admission" to S.Y. B Tech Mechanical students.

During his speech he talked on- various job opportuni-

ty through GATE. Also he guided students for prepa-

An Industry visit to “Prodevans Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore” on 15th February, 2019

Our alumni Mr. Rajnikant Devmore (2017 pass out Batch ), Technical Consultant, Prode-

vans Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore, helped to organize an Industry visit for S.Y. and T.Y. B.

Tech. students on 15th February, 2019.

Prodevans team introduced the company profile to students

Discussion was held on latest tool and techniques used in Prodevans including cloud,

IoT, Machine learning, Devops, Openstack etc..

They recommended to use only open source softwares.

Discussion on opportunities to connect to RIT for TY student’s internship by pro

viding the certification courses like RHCSA, RHCE, RHCEAD and RHCEMD.
