an 3d printers emit fumes, and le d ultrafine particles...
TRANSCRIPT
Background3D Printers operating in enclosed spaces,
such as homes and offices, emit fumes,
and concentrations of Ultrafine particles.
These emissions can cause respiratory
problems such as runny noses, irritation
oof the throat and lungs; headaches; as well
as long-term health problems.
A low cost solution It’s a simple solution, to a not so simple
problem. Ultrafine Particles are very
difficult to capture. HEPA/ULPA filters
are limited to capturing only a small
pepercentage, while carbon filters mearly
suppress the odor. The only cost effective
way to reduce the level of Ultrafine particles
is to repeatedly scrub the contaminated air,
reducing the level with each pass until the
total concentration has been reduced.
3DPrintClean filtration systems
enable 3D printing in PLA, ABS,
HIPS and other media, without
external ventilation. In addition
to the health benefits, enclosed
printing environments reduce
wwarping, curling, cracking and
noise.

EffectivenessInitial tests show, by the time a printed
part has cooled, the particle count in the
enclosure is lower than the particle count
in the room.
