where to start or what
the final outcome
should be.

• Organize your workspace at the end of the work session
• Make lists for the following day
• Control the time you have
STEP #6 KEEP MOMENTUM
• Don’t take extensive time off unless you have to
• A day here or there is okay
• Be careful about taking sessions/semesters off
STEP #7 AVOID PROCRASTINATION

• 80 to 95% of college students engage in procrastination
• 75% consider themselves procrastinators
• 50% procrastinate consistently and problematically
• Procrastinators don’t see it as a strength
WHY PROCRASTINATING IS BAD
• Students who turn in assignments at the last minute tend to get lower
grades
• Procrastinators are often afraid of failing
• Procrastination increases stress, depression, anxiety, and fatigue
