Focus on the 4/14 WindowOur emphasis is targeted towards children and youth. The vast majority of people who will receive Christ will

do so as children ... by some reports 85% of people who make a commitment for Christ are between the ages

of four to fourteen years of age. The harvest is ripe in Guatemala. “You only get once chance to reap a ripe

harvest.”

The remains of our rental car

September 9, 2012 while on our way to a mission’s

event in Alabama, we suffered a horrific auto

accident that left us hospitalized with severe injuries.

With the help of therapy we are now beginning to

use a walker as we gain strength and balance in our

legs.

We hope to start the process of finishing our

itineration in March for a return to Guatemala early

in June, 2013.

For a more specific update see our update link on our

website at www.iwill.us.

Thank you for the prayer and support that is sending

us back to Guatemala.

One Way GuatemalaOur theme comes from John 14:6, “Jesus said ‘I am

the way.’” www.onewayguatemala.org

We have specific invitations from more than 150

pastors to bring One Way Guatemala to the schools in

their communities. Those schools represent multiplied

thousands of students.

Our outreach ministry is a presentation using

choreography, music, interactive activities, drama, a

salvation message followed by a prayer response.

Local ChurchesWe attend a local Guatemalan

church called Iglesia Vida (Life

Church). At Vida, we are

volunteer children and youth

sponsors for VIDA KIDS, their

Sunday morning kid’s program

and 12/2 their Wednesday youth

 program.

This is a dynamic Assembly of

God church that under the

leadership of Pastor Romeo &Mirna Taracena has grown from

200 to more than 1200 in just the

last three years. This congregation

is meeting in a restored warehouse

with four services every Sunday in

order to accommodate the growth.

Pray that VIDA can purchase

additional property to build.

Vida KidsPastor Marvin and Sarai Martinez

are the only full time children and

youth pastors in Guatemala. They

are serving at Iglesia Vida where

the Amsler’s attend and serve as

volunteer. This young couple

have a genuine passion for young

people. They offer a kid’s church

four times every Sunday that

touches about 400 grade school

aged children every week.

In addition, they also direct the

youth program with two special

weekly ministries; 12/2 on

Wednesdays and Nexus on

Saturday. We also serve as

volunteers for these high impact

ministries towards young people.

Pray for the Martinez to have

more workers.

Teen Challenge

We do not have any directassignment at Teen Challenge, but

we do enjoy partnering with this

ministry under the direction of

veteran missionaries Richard &

Janet Conti.

On a regular basis Debbie

sponsors a meal for the students

and staff and Dave takes an

opportunity to speak and pray with

the men in the program.

Visiting US teams often have a

chance to visit the center and do a

ministry presentation.

Pray for the leaders and students

in Guatemala Teen Challenge.
