Statistics shows that a great percentage of persons who cease attending church, do so because of some type of offense or injury to their feelings that happened there.

Sometimes these occur because of the insensitivity of the church; other times, people are themselves at fault for being too touchy or sensitive to misunderstandings.

Overview

So, the Church hurt me, I am not going back!

I will tell as much persons as I can, cry as much as I can and allow a seed of bitterness to develop.

Will God pity me and excuse a trip to Hell?

Getting it straight!

The universal church consists of all those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The local church is described a local body of believers.

Ephesians 1:22-23

The word “church” comes from the Greek word ekklesia which is defined as “an assembly” or “called-out ones.”

The church is the body of Christ, of which He is the head.

What is the Church?

The church is a reflection of society, people from various background, cultures and levels.

Seniors are expected to:

• Ignore their arthritis pains

• Skip their medication

• Disregard the facts of their health

Billions allocated for senior care,

mentally challenged and foster care

All passing over us!

Fact.

No dreamers club for college students

Go to college, get edu, come back and act uneducated

youths

Depressed & Out of place.

How our youths feel

Their personal and marital life is our concern.

“Just get it together and act like saints”

Adults

• Marriage ministry

• Family forum

• Professional counselors.

• Holistic Ministry

Urgent need

• No compensation,

mercy or vision for the leaders

• Lack of ability to transition

• Untrained, uncultured,

uneducated department leaders.

• Become proactive instead of reactive

• Have ethics committee in place

• Train and constantly upgrade leaders

• Establish deliverance time and counseling department

• Teach biblical conflict management

Seven steps to resolving conflict:

Honestly identify what you are feeling.

Anger, sorrow, disappointment, rejection, hurt feelings, jealousy, threatened, fear, rebellion, pride, feeling foolish, ashamed, embarrassed, blame, loss…

Turn your focus away from the people involved and the church itself

Identify the root cause of your pain, turmoil, and disillusionment.

Find out what is at the core of your hurt—not what someone said or did to you, but what is really causing your pain?

Then search the Scriptures to discover what God says about what is really hurting you.
