Section 12ACricut Explore Manual

The position feature of the Edit panel lets you precisely position images on the design screen. This feature is particularly useful when aligning multiple images along the left or top. Position is always measured from the top left corner of the design screen to the top left corner of the bounding box.

X position – the horizontal position of the image

Y position – the vertical position of the image

When an image is moved, a gray box appears indicating both the X and Y position in the design screen. Once you have finished moving the image, the position will update in the Edit panel.

There are two options for alignment with image position. 1. Top alignment 2. Left alignment

Tip: Positions on the design screen will not a�ect the way images are laid out on the mat unless you use the Attach tool.

Image Position

Step 1: Insert images you’d like to top-align to the design screen.

Option 1: Using position to top align images

Step 2: Select an image you would like use as a reference for top alignment and then note the “Y” position

Step 3: Use the Y position coordinates of the alignment image to match the position of additional images so that they are in a row. Repeat to top-align other images in other positions.

Option 2: Using position to left align images

Step 2: Select an image you would like to use as a reference for left alignment and then note the “X” position.

Step 3: Use the X position coordinates of the alignment image to match the position of additional images so that they appear in a column. Repeat to left-align other images in other positions.
