WSIS Forum Photo Contest 2020

WSIS Stocktaking started collecting photos in 2017 on how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs ) are playing an enabling role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

300+ photos participated so far in building a collage of ICT for Sustainable Development photographs from around the world.

• 100+ projects and activities have been submitted showcasing good practices during the Coronavirus disease, all presented linkages with WSIS Action Lines and Sustainable Development Goals

• 24 projects from 10 countries of European Region: Albania, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom

As a part of the WSIS Stocktaking ongoing efforts to promote the good use of ICTs in making social impact, and in order to provideuseful, replicable and actionable information to all WSIS community and beyond, the platform is now available for collecting projectsand activities on how ICTs are assisting stakeholders in their everyday life, work, and combating challenges caused by thisextraordinary pandemic.

• The Virtual Ceremony will take place during theWSIS Forum 2020 Virtual opening segment onMonday, 7 September, 13:00-14:00 CEST UTC+2

• A program will consist of the announcement of theWSIS Prize 2020 Winners through a compilationvideo, and individual video presentations of thewinning projects

• Digital certificates will be presented to WSIS Prizes2020 Champions, and special promotion activitieswill be prepared in form of visual announcements

WSIS Stakeholders to interact, connect and collaborate.

• The WSIS TalkX invited 37 speakers from High-level Track Facilitators, Workshop Organizers, WSIS Prizes

2020 Champions and others highlighting their efforts to use ICTs in implementing the WSIS Action Lines

and SDGs.
