MINISTRY NEWS
December 23 – Music Sunday - As a way to prepare your heart for the celebration of the birth of our Savior,
please join us for worship at both services with Christmas Memories and musical gifts from a variety of musical groups and instrumentalists. The adult, youth and children choirs along with various bell groups will be sharing music at the 11:15 service. The Refuge band along with the children choir will be sharing music at the 9:00 service. Join us!
The Thursday new morning playgroup starting in January is looking for retired folks to volunteer a day or two. All you need to do is come hang out with the moms/dads/caregivers and children. Please sign up for a day on the sign up sheet outside the chapel if you’re interested! Please contact Rebecca Rider 845-417-8984 or rebeccasrider@gmail.com if you have any questions about this opportunity. Thank you!
Estimate of Giving Cards- If you have not yet made a 2019 pledge, Estimate of Giving cards are located in the narthex of the Chapel and Sanctuary, Colonnade and on the table outside of the Chapel. Please place completed cards in the offering plate/basket or turn them into Wes Bush in the church office. Thank you.
From the Property Ministry - Thanks to the Boy Scouts, Scout leaders and parents, and to the church members who helped rake leaves at the church on Saturday under less than desirable weather conditions. Special thanks to the following people who cut up and dragged to the street mountains of tree debris from the ice storm: Marc Steck, Edwin & Caroline Lancaster, Bert Adamson, Jeff Loomis, Curtis, Margaret & Andrew Foltz, Andi & Andy Shifflett, and Sunday Night Youth Group. Thanks also to Mark Hackley for donating his time and resources for cleaning the church signs and adding the required ‘1904’ to the lower parking lot sign.
Advent Wreath - We are grateful for new members leading at the 9:00 service and confirmation youth and their mentors leading at the 11:15 service this advent season. Also, many thanks to Debbie Russell and Mary Smith for organizing the readers each year.
It is the time of year when we take the time to show our appreciation for our staff and provide the opportunity for members of the congregation to contribute towards a Christmas bonus. If you are interested in participating, please give your contribution to a member of the personnel ministry or drop it by the church office by Sunday, December 23, 2018. Members of the Personnel Ministry are: Sue Krzastek, Edwin Lancaster, Suzanne Scott, Andi Shifflett and Joyce Yancey.
