Would you see us as your charity of the year…

…if you knew that macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK?

Donations from companies and organisations help improve lives today and fund research to find a cure.

Support a cause working for over 600,000 people in the UK Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common cause of sight loss in the UK. Many people with macular degeneration cannot read, drive or recognise faces. Macular conditions can also affect young adults and children.

Improving lives todayPeople describe losing their sight as being like bereavement and the impact is likened to having an advanced form of cancer. We are the only UK charity dedicated to helping people with the condition.

“ I was devastated, and then I spoke to someone from the counselling service. It was a real pivotal moment for me and made me feel like it was going to be OK.”

Anna, counselling service beneficiary

We provide free information and support to improve lives. We ensure no one faces macular disease alone. We run services across the UK such as local support groups and counselling.

Research to find a cure88% of people say that sight is the sense they least want to lose.

Help us to fund more research to find a cure for the most common cause of sight loss.

Help us raise money to do more of this vital work.
