Begin with the teacher. Move on to me. We will work together. Please do not ask me to approach a teacher

about a specific situation without giving that teacher specific information.

Don’t anguish over anything… call on us!

After Labor Day, please.

We are an “offer” cafeteria instead of a “serve” cafeteria, but know that your children received a balanced meal with milk, a meat or meat substitute, and vegetable choices.

Our cafeteria employees are very loving and patient… don’t worry!

No fast food, please!

State Nutrition Policy Your child’s lunch and snacks are up to you.

The State Policy governs classroom snacks and the cafeteria.

Sugar and/or Corn Syrup cannot be the first-listed ingredient in classroom snacks or party foods.

permitted. No tummies, please. No crazy hair colors or crazy styles. Short-shorts not permitted in grades 4-12. Camo is permitted now.

specific, written consent. We consistently work to recognize and

reward positives!

Our PTO is active and important to our overall success.

Parents join PTO every year.

Teacher weekly newsletters. Daily notebooks or folders from the teacher. www.hartselletigers.org Newsletters from our Reading Coach and

from our Guidance Counselor. Our new bulletin board near the front

office called Parent Postings!

Watch for Reading Meeting dates! DIBELS is explained. Parents are given the tools to help their

children become strong readers. This training session is offered by Susan

Hayes and Reading Coach Cindy Hagemann.

This is our check recovery company. Any checks returned to us pass through Nexcheck for collection.

A portion of the money you give us in your donation ($2 of the $12) is used to fund our emergency notification system. When you receive the information sheet about this, be certain to log on and provide us with the home, work, and cell numbers you would like to have automatically called in the event of a school emergency… such as a closing due to bad weather.

Every year we compile a new Continuous Improvement Plan under State guidelines. We publish that in a notebook that will be in the trays out front… beside the bulletin board. Last year’s plan is there now, and this year’s plan will be there by 11/1/09.

We will do yearly surveys focused on school improvement, we host Coffee with the Principal, and my door is open to you!

For your child For you We have teachers, a counselor, a nurse, a

special education staff…. We can help! Do not hesitate to call on us!

We will cross the bridge to success… together!
