Habitat: Mid-tohigh-elevationwoodlands,includingoak,pinyonpine,juniper,ponderosapineandmixedconiferforests.AlmostallhistoricalrecordsofMexicanwolvesinArizonaoccurredabove4,500feetineleva-tion.Habitatmustcontainlargeungulatepreyanimalsforwolvestothrive.
