WHY EASTER?

The name “Easter “is not proper to refer to the reason we celebrate this season.It should better be called Resurrection Day. The reason we celebrate Resurrection Day is because it marks the day that Jesus Rose from the Dead to defeat death (both physical and spiritual death) which is the inheritance of all mankind. Without it, there would be no hope for any of mankind, we would all perish – we would die physically and we would have to be put in the lake of fire forever with no release.The way this came about is described in the following slides.

Satan entered the gardenas a talking serpent

The serpent deceived Adam and Eve and got them to sin against God, bringing sin and death into all of the human race.

They were expelled from the garden. But God promised a Redeemer who would come from a woman with no earthly father.

But the story didn’tstop with just the

birth of Jesus

Otherwisethere would still

be no hope.

Man lost the rule ofthe earth through

Sin. And it would have to

be a sinless MANwho would gain it

back for sinful man.

Jesus lived a sinlesslife and so

He could gain it back for us and

also clean away the sin from our lives at

the same time

But He would haveto pay the penalty

for the sins –death of the sinless

Son of God.

AND REDEMPTIONWAS COMPLETE.

HE PAID THE UGLYPRICE YOU AND I0WED - DEATH.

Satan was defeated when He rose from the dead and we were guaranteed eternal life.

HE OFFERS THAT REDEMPTION TO YOU

AND ME“… I AM THE RESURRECTION, AND THE LIFE: HE THAT BELIEVETH IN ME, THOUGH HE WERE DEAD, YET SHALL HE LIVE:” (JOHN 11:25)

“…I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE: NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME.” (JOHN 14:6)
