An in leishmaniasis cases was reported in Ma’arrat An Nu’mansubdistrict (498 in Oct vs 328 inSep) and Khan Shaykun subdistrict (186 vs 118).

During week 40-43 (October) 2018 the weekly cases of influenza-like illnesssaw a 25% since August, while the case load of acute diarrhoeal diseases by one-third during the same period. This is in line with expected seasonal pa�erns. Leishmaniasis cases have reached a plateau in Oct a�er the clear trend since Jan. An in leishmaniasis cases in Oct was primarily reported from Idleb (different subdistrictsthan Sept) and Deir-ez-Zor subdistrict.The trend in measles and rubella cases con�nues to persist. Blood samplesfrom clusters of acute jaundice syndrome in Dara’a and Aleppo tested posi�vefor Hepa��s A virus.
