WHO ARE WE
Established in 2007, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) is the not-for-profit organisation of the Jubilant Bhartia
Group. The foundation focuses on conceptualising and implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives
(CSR) for the Group. The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation’s activities include various community development work,
healthcare programs, cultural and sports events, environmental preservation initiative, vocational training, women
empowerment, educational activities and promotion of social entrepreneurship in India.
A GLOBAL UNPRECEDENTED CRISIS
Different parts of the world are being deeply impacted by
the COVID-19 outbreak currently. While the entire world
has been caught off guard, the progression of the disease
cannot be predicted yet. It is imperative now that we all
come together in this hour of crisis to help and support
one another. Our support and pro-activeness will be
extremely critical in determining our future. With the
vision of Caring, Sharing, Growing, the Jubilant Bhartia
Foundation (JBF) has been doing community work in the
last three weeks in the areas of health & safety, food,
sanitization, communication and closely working with the
local administration among others.

screenings acted as preventive health check-up for
the community boasting their confidence.

JUBILANT RESPONSE TOWARDS COVID-19PRE LOCKDOWN
Communication Outreach with Community, School & Society
Several pro-active awareness workshops (over 50) have been organised at various locations around the
company’s facilities in India. These awareness workshops were organised within the community with the support
of Sarpanchs and local administration, in the local language. The workshops quickly apprised villagers with
necessary information on the outbreak of the disease and the precautions to curb its spread. Sessions about the
significance of washing hands with soaps, usage of masks & sanitizers, how to maintain social distancing etc were
undertaken. Important contact numbers for emergency were also shared with the community to build
confidence. School children were educated about COVID-19 though video sessions. The CSR coordinators from
the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation team acted as community’s contact person for any COVID 19 related
requirements within the community. The coordinators immediately helped individuals in need of support and
kept themselves abreast about real-time situation at the grass-root level. Pamphlets in local language on
COVID-19 awareness were also distributed in communities around our facility.

Health & Safety
Masks (over 15,000), sanitizers (over 2500 L) and soaps have been distributed free of cost in the community
around our various facilities across India.

we covered were Basaili, Shahbajpur
Dor, Naipura and Moharka.

Distribution of Food & Essentials
Grocery and medicines are being provided at the doorsteps of vulnerable community members like the pregnant
& lactating women, old age homes, migrant workers who are stranded off etc at our multiple locations. More than
5000 ready to eat food packets have been distributed at various places along with over 4000 packets of dry ration
to vulnerable community members.

Sanitization
Jubilant’s research and development team developed formulation for hand sanitizer using its own produced
Ethanol. The company got necessary approvals & quickly realigned its manufacturing facility to start producing
hand sanitizers at a very short notice. It has started supplying, free of cost, hand sanitizers to Governments both at
the national & the state level. Noida Administration, Government Hospital, Municipal, District Administration,
Police Personnel at Jyotiba Phuley Nagar and Gautam Budha Nagar and the healthcare staff & volunteers working
at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. The sanitizer is also being bottled and distributed in the community
near by.
In addition, sanitization of 4 villages in the vicinity of our manufacturing facility at Savli has been undertaken.
Awareness was also done within the community throughout the sanitization process.

Support to Local Administration
During this critical situation, the Government official, local administration, healthcare workers, police personnel
and other essential services are providing a great service to the nation by being on the frontlines of this pandemic.
Understanding their safety is paramount Jubilant has supported the local administration by facilitating the
distribution of masks, sanitizers etc at various locations across the country.

GAJRAULA
• 12 Awareness camps covering 1200 participants from
nearby industries and communities in 10 Villages
have been conducted
• Awareness camps organised in nearby industries in
Umang Diary, Insilco, Ronak Industry and Bestcorp
too with over 800 participants
• Medical support extended to an old age home in
Gangeshwari.
• 2000 food packets distributed across Gajraula
including 100 food packets to a trust in
Naipura village

• 15 awareness camps in 8 villages covering 3900 people from the community have been organised
• 1500 Masks, 425 Soaps, and 800 sanitizers distributed among community people in 5 villages including to the police
and journalists
• Women identified from the community to help in stitching of cotton masks for the community members and
employees of the company
• Cotton masks are being stitched at JBF training center by women residing in the community for employees and
community. The raw material has been provided to them

NANJANGUD
• 2 awareness camps covering 84 community members and training center participants organised
• 32 sanitizer bottle (500ml each) distributed to the police department, town municipality and health department
• 5800 masks & 500 Soap distributed to Kallahalli villagers and the Tehsildar department
• Facilitated 300 masks from Mysore to Nanjangud to be distributed to Company employees.
ROORKEE & PANTNAGAR
• 50 students made aware on COVID-19 through video
session in the schools using Digi-Mitra Kits• Awareness to 3500 community members through
painting on walls across 2 villages
• Distributed 308 L Sanitizers, 3100 Masks & 70 pairs of
gloves in totalities of District & Local Administration
(SDM, SHO/Police Offices), ARTO office and

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IS INGRAINED IN OUR SYSTEM
The JBF team is extending its support in Jajjhar, Haryana in implementing the health project for Panasonic india. The beneficiaries of the project include security guards, police station staff, media houses, grocers, milk
distribution agencies, milkmen, labourers and villagers in the area. Following initiatives have been implemented
so far
• 33 small group awareness camps organised
• 4000 masks distributed
• 25 L cans and 40 bottles of 200 ml of sanitizers distributed in the community
• Awareness session on DO’s & DON’Ts of COVID-19 held
JBF is also extending its support at Greater Noida where it is implementing the health and education project for
Jubilant Food Works Ltd• Grocery Distribution for the daily wage workers who are stranded in Greater Noida undertaken
Non-Perishable food packets (comprising of 5 Kg Flour, Salt, Biscuits, Spices and Potato) distributed to 150 families
in Kayampur village, Greater Noida
• PANASONIC AAROGYA HEALTH VAN is being used for generating awareness on
COVID-19. The Doctor engaged in the awareness is certified for COVID-19 awareness &
